posted Aug 24th, 2026 - The NSL News mentioned briefly in yesterday's update that the French national 4-way Open team, Aethers Lille, did not compete with its complete lineup at the national outdoor championship. Clémentine Le Bohec replaced Mathieu Quizy in the tail slot for the 10-round meet. Mathieu Quizy was unavailable for the event, but he will rejoin his team for the upcoming training and the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026.

French national coach Mathieu Bernier was not concerned in the least. In fact, the Aethers are accustomed to accommodating slot changes. The NSL News reported on December 16, 2025 how the complete lineup achieved a 30.1 average while competing in different Remix Aethers slots at the Weeembinamic 2025. Last weekend, Tom Mattoni (Outside Center), Damien Gouriou (Point), and Alban Rumolo (Inside Center) remained in their original slots, while substitute Clémentine Le Bohec stepped into the tail slot for Mathieu Quizy.

Clementine Le Bohec competed with Aethers Lille against her former Nephtys Maubeuge teammates, Pamela Lissajoux and Gaelle Giesen. She had won FAI gold with the team at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2018, where the team posted a 25.7 average. The lineup consisted of Pamela Lissajoux, Christine Malnis, Sophia Pecout, and Michel Laynaud on camera. Clementine Le Bohec was the Inside Center for the 4-way Women world champion rear piece in 2018, while her slot-switching experience had also given her familiarity with the tail position. Her stint in the tail slot with Aethers Lille occasionally brought her back to Inside Center, and Aethers Lille finished with a 24.3 average.

Gaelle Giesen was the alternate for the world champion lineup in 2018, and she replaced Clémentine Le Bohec for the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2021. The Nephtys posted a 24.7 average, but it was not enough when the competition ended after Round 6. They were still three points behind the Russian home team Bubbles. Gaelle Giesen was also part of the French 8-way lineup at the same event, which finished just one point behind Airspeed XP8 after seven rounds.

Pamela Lissajoux flew Outside Center for the Nephtys in 2021, while Gaelle Giesen was in the tail slot. For the current lineup, Giesen has switched to Point and now flies the front piece alongside her former 2021 teammate. The two did not continue together after the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022, but reunited in 2025 and won 4-way Women gold at the FAI Outdoor World Cup.

Clémentine Le Bohec made her return to the Nephtys at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025, where the French 4-way Women lineup of Pamela Lissajoux, Marie Pineau, and Elise Poindron posted a 28.9 average but still finished three points behind China. She returned with the same Nephtys lineup for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, where they achieved a 28.3 average, but China successfully defended the top position. Gaelle Giesen and Pamela Lissajoux are now pursuing 4-way Women gold at the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026, together with Alexandra Petitjean and Marie Pineau, Godeleine de Saint Just on camera, the same lineup that won last year at Skydive Teuge.
