posted Aug 12th, 2026 - Italy’s national indoor and outdoor 4-way Open team, Amnesya FLY X, has two different lineups for the two 4-way environments. A week ago, it was time for the outdoor lineup to return to competition action.

Amnesya last won the national outdoor championship in September 2024, and seven indoor events with Amnesya participation took place before they captured the national title once again. There was no outdoor championship in Italy last year, while Amnesya’s indoor lineup won two national indoor titles in the meantime. They also represented their country at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, where they finished in 5th place with a 27.2 average.

Chiara Brunetti and team founder Giuseppe Cossu are usually part of both lineups. In April, Federico Angelotti and former HayaBusa member and player-coach Michele Silvi joined them in the indoor lineup. Alessandro Anderlucci and Roberto Mancini completed the outdoor lineup last week.

It was almost the same lineup as in 2024, when only Giuseppe Cossu was missing. Ivan Quadrio replaced him for that event, with Sante Valentini on camera. In fact, it was the first time since Italy’s national outdoor championship in October 2020 that Giuseppe Cossu had returned to outdoor competition.

Amesya FLY X at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026

Chiara Brunetti, Alessandro Anderlucci, and Ivan Quadrio have known each other from previous events, while Roberto Mancini became the newest member of Amnesya in 2024. He has not been part of the indoor lineups since then and returned to replace Mario Fatturoso, a member of the 2024 outdoor lineup, at this year’s outdoor championship. Roberto Mancini had previously trained and competed with the Italian 4-way team 6.1.0. before Amnesya invited him to join.

Chiara Brunetti, Alessandro Anderlucci, and Ivan Quadrio had also traveled to Norway for the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023. Livio Piccolo, a bronze medalist with Sinapsi PD at Gera 2006, completed the Amnesya outdoor lineup in Voss, where they were involved in an exciting duel with Airbus Illertissen for 6th place. The German 4-way Open Class team won by two points (183–181) and took the set of bronze medals in the embedded FAI European Championship. The same Amnesya lineup then won the next national outdoor championship title a month later, before the new lineup with Roberto Mancini replacing Livio Piccolo won again in 2024.

Airbus 4-way Illertissen - Amnesya FLY X at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023

The 18.1 average in Voss 2023 was significantly higher than the 15.7 recorded at this year’s national outdoor championship last week. However, the potential and experience of the current lineup are more than enough to leave the NSL Power Rankings untouched for the moment, with Amnesya expected to make the Top 10 and compete for the unofficial title of the best amateur team in the world.

Amnesya is registered for the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026 and is looking forward to a rematch with Germany’s Airbus 4-way team. The two opponents have not met since their duel in Norway, neither at indoor nor outdoor events.

Both teams are also competing with different lineups. Only Thomas Mack and Felix Pfeiffer are back for Airbus this year, while Chiara Brunetti and Alessandro Anderlucci return for Amnesya.

Airbus has the head start in the final phase of preparations for the world’s most important competition, as the leaderboards on August 8th showed. Round 1 will reveal the real starting point for the new duel between the two new lineups.
