... that the British 4-way delegation was the second largest at Weembi?

NFTO in 4-way Open with Pete Allum
posted May 29th, 2026 - The NSL News coverage following the 4-way competition at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 concludes with the British delegation of five teams. NFTO posted scores on the 4-way Women leaderboard, while Kairos, Mimic, Friendship is Magic and Sora competed in 4-way Open.

All five teams had also appeared on the same leaderboard at the British Indoor Nationals, which took place at Weembi Lille in November 2025 — the same wind tunnel that later hosted the FAI Indoor World Cup. The finishing order at the national indoor championship was identical to the results on the combined AAA Class leaderboard at the FAI Indoor World Cup, with the British teams remaining closely matched at both events.

NFTO competed with a different lineup at the national indoor championship, where British skydiving legend Pete Allum joined three members of the female NFTO lineup — Vana Parker, Sian Stokes and Julia Swallow. Pete Allum, together with Anna Lea, Vana Parker and Julia Swallow, had previously represented Great Britain at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025 in 4-way Open, where they finished in 5th place with a 26.1 average. Former Chimera member Sarah Ashworth replaced Pete Allum at Weembi Lille last month, and NFTO returned to the 4-way Women category. The team finished in 4th place with a 23.3 average.

Mimic - Friendship is Magic - Sora at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026
NFTO with Sarah Ashworth in 4-way Women
NFTO, with Pete Allum in the lineup, were still well ahead of Kairos at the British Indoor Championship in November (262 - 218). Kairos then improved their performance level by another average point at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, posting a new team record average of 22.8 and moving within striking distance of their British rivals on the 4-way Women leaderboard (233 - 228).

The rivalry between Kairos and NFTO across two different leaderboards has become a unique storyline since Tano Parker joined Kairos, as reported by the NSL News on 23 March 2025. His mother, Vana Parker, has been a member of NFTO since 2016 and continues to compete regularly in 4-way events. She also serves as a member of the FAI/ISC Formation Skydiving Committee.

The FAI Indoor World Cup marked the fifth occasion on which Vana Parker and Tano Parker competed against each other on different teams, even though NFTO appeared on a separate leaderboard last month. Vana Parker also competed with Dynos at the Wind Games 2026 following the British Indoor Nationals in 2025. Tano Parker is clearly closing the gap as Kairos continue to improve their scoring level consistently. Kairos also compete in outdoor 4-way, and Tano Parker earned his first national outdoor bronze medal at last year’s championship, an event that NFTO did not attend.

NFTO - Kairos at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026
Indoor and outdoor competition: Kairos
Kairos won four consecutive rounds over NFTO after a slow start at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 and closed the gap to just a single point after Round 8. NFTO then raised the pace again and eventually secured victory in this internal duel by five points overall.

The three other British 4-way Open Class teams were unable to match the pace of either NFTO or Kairos. Both Mimic and Friendship is Magic finished well above their previous scoring levels and increased their lead over Sora, the longest-standing team among the four British 4-way Open Class teams at the FAI Indoor World Cup.

The British delegation of five 4-way teams at Weembi Lille was the second largest among all participating nations. Only the host nation, France, had one additional 4-way team on the combined AAA Class leaderboard.

Great Britain’s three 8-way teams even matched the level of French participation at the event. The NSL News will soon continue with the concluding coverage of the 8-way competition.
