Did You Know...

... that two British 8-way teams had their internal re-match in Teuge?

British delegation at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025
posted Oct 16th, 2025 - At least two of the three U.S. 8-way teams at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 now follow up at the USPA Nationals. Round 1 of the 8-way competition at Skydive Arizona is scheduled for the 28th of October.

Prison 9 and Mandatory Fun! won 8-way silver and bronze at Skydive Teuge and will probably copy their positions in medal contention in Eloy. Two other 8-way teams will be in the mix for the USPA medal positions, the new XP8 team and the lineup of GKAZ8, apparently a combination of Golden Knights and Arizona Airspeed members.

The 8-way field at the outdoor world cup also featured three teams at the bottom of the leaderboard who had their own battle, especially the two British 8-way teams Cark8 and Just M8s. The Dutch home team, Shinobi XL, managed to separate themselves eventually from the two British teams and finished eight points ahead of the winners of the British duel, Cark8. The Dutch 8-way team was a colorful combination of Dutch 4-way and 8-way competitors, with members of the Shinobi 4-way team as the foundation (Cintha Roersma, Freek Boland, Fonsz Kriegsman). The Shinobi 4-way team has been training and competing with different lineups since their first year in the Rookie Class of 2012. Fonsz Kriegsman was still filming Shinobi at the ESL Championship 2024 and moved into the Shinobi XL 8-way lineup at the outdoor world cup. René Hoogland was on camera at Skydive Teuge.

European bronze medals: Cark 8
The two British 8-way teams traveled to the Netherlands with an additional purpose, which was not related to the medal positions. They exchanged some blows with the Dutch home team, while they were mainly focused on their own internal re-match.

Cark8 and Just M8s qualified for the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 at their national championships last year, and they represented the British delegation at Skydive Teuge. Only Cark 8 were actually back for this year's national outdoor championship, where they finished in 2nd place.

Two weeks later, Cark 8 traveled to the Netherlands where they were facing their British opponent of 2024, Just M8s. Both teams were prepared for the internal showdown and pushed each other closer to Shinobi XL. Together they tied the Dutch scores a few times, which was not enough to challenge the home team seriously. However, the British duel turned out to become an exciting 4-point battle, with both teams moving up from the 2+ average level above the 3-point benchmark. Round by round, there was a lot of excitement in front of the TV screens when the judged jumps became available on the screens in the viewing area. It was still a 1-point battle after Round 7 and before Cark 8 eventually created the final 4-point difference in the three remaining rounds. Cark 8 were rewarded with the bronze medals of the embedded European championship.
