Did You Know...

... that 14 teams are lined up for the start of the Czech indoor winter season?

Open Class scores in September: 4-way Junior team HF Chameleons
posted Nov 3rd, 2021 - The NSL News pointed out on September 13th that all Czech Indoor Cloud League scores and videos for August were generated only by 4-way juniors. It was not much different for the Hurricane Factory's Indoor Cloud League scores in September.

A quick look at the team names for September may give the impression that the complete leaderboard was once again filled with the names of only Czech 4-way juniors. However, the HF Cubs as a team are not eligible any longer for the official 4-way Junior category, even though they are still the reigning world champions of the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019.

The new and youngest 4-way seniors were not a part of the Hurricane Factory's junior leaderboard in August, and the HF Chameleons took care of the scores and videos for the two 4-way Open Class sequences (AAA: 13 - AA: 16).

The HF Cubs were back in September and lifted the scores for the new 4-way Open Class sequences to their usual AAA Class level (23 - 20). The Czech leaderboard for October looks very similar compared to September, as the HF Cubs are once again the only 4-way senior team with scores and videos for last month.

Czech 4-way Junior title defense in April 2022: HF Flying Rebels
The same five 4-way junior teams of September were back a month later, and the HF Dragonflies had an indoor comeback with a new 4-way junior lineup. Martin Stránský, member of the more experienced HF Flying Rebels, the new Czech national team in 4-way Junior, had been filling the open slot with the three female 4-way juniors (Viki Hlavnickova, Lada Jirkovska, Kaja Svejdová).

Jan Klapka has now added a new female 4-way junior competitor, Violeta Demeterova, to the lineup of the HF Dragonflies, and the youngest all-female 4-way Junior team, started back in the Rookie Class.

The HF Cubs seniors and the HF Flying Rebels juniors both posted impressive scores for the three technical sequences (AAA - AA - A), which all included Block 8 (Canadian T - Canadian T). The HF Flying Rebels could not keep up with the HF Cubs in AAA and AA, while their 27-pointer for the A Class sequence is surely setting a standard, not only for any 4-way junior teams.

It seems like Jan Klapka's new national team in 4-way Junior will be well prepared for the title defense, which will be coming up in April 2022 in Charleroi, Belgium. At the same time, the HF Cubs could also challenge the senior teams in 4-way Women at the next indoor world meet.

Indoor Cloud League October 2021: Hurricane Factory Highscores
Regular visitors in Poland: Rusalky
The other Czech senior teams will soon be back in action at the Hurricane Factory, as well. Jan Klapka told the NSL News that the Czech part of the World Tunnel League will resume this month.

Jan Klapka has been hosting the ETL/WTL indoor meets in the Czech winter season, monthly between November and April. He still continues with the Indoor Cloud League events throughout the summer when the senior teams are jumping from planes. That's one of the reasons why most of the ICL scores in the summer are posted by Czech 4-way junior teams.

One of the other Czech 4-way junior teams with great progress is the second all-female lineup of Rusalky, who started in the Rookie Class, as well, and who are now in training with the AA Class dive pool, even though they are still eligible for Rookie Class sequences. The team's 29-pointer for the RR Class sequence had to be limited to the 25 points on the official ICL leaderboard.

Rusalky have competed several times at the meets of the Polish Flyspot Liga events, three times in the A Class and once even in the AA Class. Jan Klapka said that he has 14 teams lined up up for the first meet of the Czech Tunnel League later this month.
