Did You Know...

... that the Czech Indoor Cloud League teams were not all 4-way juniors in September?

Jan Klapka working with Czech 4-way juniors
posted Oct 6th, 2021 - The NSL News covered the August scores of the Czech Indoor Cloud League team on September 13th. It was a special occasion, as it was the first time that a complete set of Indoor Cloud League scores was generated only and exclusively by 4-way juniors of all ages.

Czech ICL manager Jan Klapka did not plan to set an example and had no intention to exclude any 4-way seniors. The older Czech 4-way teams and competitors have just not been ready yet to go back to the Hurricane Factory for the ICL events or any indoor activities. The opening times have also been inconsistent, and the scheduling has been difficult accordingly, all of this still due to the implications of the corona virus crisis.

However, Jan Klapka found ways how to continue some indoor training with his 4-way juniors, and he has been able to submit the full sets of six monthly sequences since May. He recently completed the new September sequences, and the Czech 4-way juniors played once again a major role in his game plan.

The Czech leaderboard of September is showing a total of 17 scores for the six sequences, as the variety of teams competed internally for the highscores in each category, as they have been doing it for several years. All the team names also remind the observer that the 4-way juniors still cover most of the Indoor Cloud League sequences.

The team names could be misleading though, as there was a difference in September. There were not only 4-way juniors competing for the Hurricane Factory.

The team name of the HF Cubs is well known in the 4-way junior world, as they are still the reigning FAI world champions in their former category, which is identical with the AA Class. The HF Cubs carried their team name into the 4-way senior world when they transitioned after the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019.

This is not new for the NSL News audience, as the very special team career of the all-female lineup has been well covered since the team members started as 4-way juniors years ago. The HF Cubs are now a senior team, even if a few members might still be eligible in the 4-way junior category. They have also launched their outdoor career, as Jan Klapka reported from the Czech Republic earlier.

It is probably most difficult for Jan Klapka to consider the HF Cubs 4-way seniors now, after all the years working with them as 4-way juniors. He mentioned in the submission of the September videos that he hopes to have senior teams back at the ICL events soon. The HF Cubs did come back in September as the only senior team on the leaderboard, after a short appearance in June. They are now the senior role models for all other Czech 4-way juniors.
