posted Jun 22nd, 2021 - Germany's 4-way comeback at the Paranodon Cup happened together with the British return to 4-way competition at the season opener of the United Kingdom Skydiving League, and the first meet of the Southern California Skydiving League completed the leaderboard.

Only British teams competed in the Rookie Class (RRR), while the leaderboards in the three other NSL categories (AAA - AA - A) featured an interesting and colorful international mixture.

The NSL News update on June 15th covered the AAA Class leaderboard with the adjusted rankings according to the five rounds that all participating teams completed. Chimera, the British national team in 4-way Open, added Round 6, and the three German AAA Class teams even completed all ten rounds at the Paranodon Cup.

NSL-TV now follows up with meet videos of the event in Illertissen, Germany, provided by Airbus 4-way videographer Andreas Trögele. He was filming two other teams at the same event (Paranodon Classic - 2M2O), as Airbus did not attend the competition this year.

Paranodon 4way Illertissen and Paranodon Classic at the Paranodon Cup 2021

Andreas Trögele was filming once again his father Robert Trögele in action with Paranodon's Classic lineup. Robert Trögele is the operator of the skydiving center in Illertissen and the new national coach for Germany's Formation Skydiving community.

Julius Trögele, son of Andreas Trögele, who represented the third generation of the 4-way family as a member of a different Paranodon lineup before the corona virus crisis, did not compete at this year's event.

His grandfather Robert Trögele has been offering young skydivers and upcoming competitors the structure for 4-way training and competition at his skydiving center for several years.

This time, a total of five Paranodon teams competed in Illertissen, including the Classic lineup, who are not really a part of the Futura 4-way project. However, the new videos also feature the three German 4-way veterans, with Austria's Black Mantis member Michael Axmann completing the lineup.

The young Paranodon signature team won the AAA Class challenge against the Classic lineup with two current national team members, Thomas Spielvogel (Airbus 8) and Michael Axmann (Black Mantis).

The other three Paranodon project teams competed in the AA (Futura 2) and A Class events (Futura 3 and 4) and still had direct competition with each other. The NSL draw generates the according sequences category by category subsequently. This time, the special draw format created one identical sequence for both categories (AA - A).

It was Round 1 where the three Paranodon Futura teams performed exactly the same sequence (A,P,7) and A Class team Futura 3 posted the highscore of all nine teams in both categories with the 14-pointer.

The sequence of Round 2 (20,K,15) was also overlapping for all AAA and AA Class teams. However, none of the AA Class teams were able to outscore any AAA Class team in this round. It was the same situation in Round 6 (O,M,G,11) where the three AA teams could not keep up with the AAA teams.

Paranodon Futura 3 eventually finished on the top of the combined A Class leaderboard of four teams from three different countries.
