Did You Know...

... that the Paraclete XP Summer Classic featured a very strong AA Class field?

AA Class teams at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2018

posted Jun 19th, 2018 - The first update after Round 8 at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2018 last weekend mentioned briefly the strength of the AA Class field.

The first main attention was directed to the AAA Class leaderboard, with Arizona Airspeed and the U.S. national team's next step on the road to the FAI World Meet 2018. The whole AAA Class field deserved attention, and the NSL News will go back to it with more details soon.

However, the AA Class leaderboard was just as interesting and offered high-level scores, as well. In fact, TSC Cadence's winning average (13.6) is on USPA medal level. Last year's USPA Intermediate Class champion, Vega XP, won with a 14.0 average in Perris.

Vega XP had posted an 11.6 average at last year's Paraclete XP Summer Classic before picking up the pace in the three months before the national championships. TSC Cadence has more than two months to lift the currently impressive scoring level even higher and improve Vega XP's AA/Intermediate Class average of 2017.

TSC Cadence actually witnessed Vega XP's winning performance last year, as the team competed at the same event and placed right behind the medal positions. The same lineup had finished with an 11.9 average in September 2017, which is almost exactly the same scoring level that Vega XP was at in Raeford last year.

4th Place: TSC Cadence at the USPA Nationals 2017
TSC Cadence has arrived at the same level three months earlier and can use the remaining time carefully for another step towards the USPA top spot.

Another regional AA/Intermediate Class team could be knocking on the door for USPA medals this year after the scores at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic.

Platinum XP has also arrived at the 11+ level, which is only a small step behind the medal positions at the USPA Nationals.

Vega XP was at the 11+ level in June before winning the gold medals, and TSC Cadence finished in 4th place with the 11.9 average in Perris.

Last and not least, Tail Spin XP, with two former directors of the Carolina Skydiving League in the lineup (Randy Garman, Dan Winkelstein), competed at the USPA Nationals 2017, as well, and have the same time frame to improve their new team record average (9.6) to a 10+ scoring level, or higher...
