Did you know that several family teams compete in Germany? posted: Sep 10th, 2025 Germany has been one of the leading countries with family teams. It is not only the Airbus family who has been covered comprehensively by the NSL News since Thomas Mack's two sons, Tim in the point slot and Moritz on camera, joined the new lineup.
Tim Mack started with the previous lineup where he was on camera at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2024. He had competed with Teiwaz at the Shamrock Showdown 2024 and the German Outdoor Nationals 2024 before traveling with his father and the previous Airbus lineup to Crystal Coast in North Carolina.
His brother Moritz Mack took the camera slot... (more)
Did you know that preparations for the Super Sequence began early in Germany? posted: Sep 10th, 2025 The Super Sequence in Round 8 of the Germany Outdoor Nationals 2025 is naturally not only the topic for the NSL News. Teams, competitors and judges are anticipating the rare opportunity of counting a lot of scoring points in only one round. Airbus coach Michele Silvi had plenty of information, thoughts and experiences with a Super Sequence, and he shared it with the NSL News on Tuesday when there was more than enough time.
The weather did not cooperate much at all on the first day of the competition. Eventually, at the very end of the day, meet director Helmut Bastuck was able to call the 4-way... (more)
Did you know that the German 4-way teams have a golden opportunity in Round 8? posted: Sep 9th, 2025 The weather conditions at the Skyfactory in Stadtlohn, Germany, allowed at least a few training jumps on Monday. Airbus 4-way Illertissen Oceanside, Germany's national team in 4-way Open, did two on Sunday and Monday morning, then added another one after Airbus videographer Moritz Mack had picked up coach Michele Silvi from the airport.
Airbus were not shy of providing the NSL News with the videos of the training jumps for a good reason. It seems like the German top contender for the national championship title is just as well prepared as it was expected, after they had decided to skip the outdoor... (more)
Did you know that Spain's Papea team compete in all military events in Qatar? posted: Sep 8th, 2025 Teams and competitors at the German Outdoor Nationals 2025 are waiting for better weather at the Skyfactory in Stadtlohn. The weather situation is similar to the conditions that meet director Ronald Overdijk had to deal with at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025. It's the last training day before Round 1 for the 4-way teams in Germany, and the competition draw is scheduled for this evening.
The NSL News has time to go back to the outdoor world cup and to parts of the competition that are not always making the top headlines. However, the competition for the Top 10 spots on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard... (more)
Did you know that this week's German 4-way leaderboard will be under careful scrutiny? posted: Sep 7th, 2025 The NSL News transition from Skydive Teuge in the Netherlands to the Skyfactory in Stadtlohn is complete, and the German Outdoor Nationals 2025 have begun this weekend. The German 4-way and 8-way teams are not posting scores yet, as their competitions begins on Tuesday in 4-way, Thursday in 8-way.
However, Germany's defending 4-way champions, the Airbus 4-way team, are already in training action to become familiar with the unknown environment in Stadtlohn. The Airbus 4-way team is a completely different entity, and there is no overlapping between the Airbus 4-way and Airbus 8-way teams.

Did you know that the NSL News transitions to Germany's national outdoor championship? posted: Sep 6th, 2025 The unfortunate story of the German 8-way team at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025, Airbus Oceanside Illertissen, was well documented by the NSL News, and it had a happy ending.
The German 8-way story began when Henning Stumpp, President of the German skydiving federation (DFV) and Airbus member, had a landing accident, after a broken line on opening compromised the parachute. The update on August 31st explained that Henning Stumpp could not continue with the 8-way competition after Round 4. Team videographer Erik Lorenz was considered to switch to the tail slot in front of the camera if Airbus... (more)
