posted: May 13th, 2005 DeLand Majik's infringement situation in round seven was not very difficult to find. It was quite obvious that the Icepick of Block 19 (Ritz - Icepick) on the fourth page was not complete when grips on the outside were dropped. It did not take much time for Majik's Center Inside, Doug Park, to realize the damage, shake it off and move on. In fact, there was no Majik hesitation at all. Park tried for a moment to get to the missing grip and instantly continued to the first Bipole of Block 14 when he saw the other three Majik member move forward. Did you know that round seven of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 is now on NSL-TV?
posted: May 12th, 2005 NSL-TV continues with the coverage of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005. Round seven can now be viewed and features once again DeLand Fire with the highest score for this round. Fire was the fastest team on the subterminal page and never showed a weakness for the rest of the skydive. (more)

Did you know that the Air Force teams seem to be back in full action?
posted: May 12th, 2005 All scores of last weekend's events have now been posted. Competitions in Europe dominated the 4-way activities, with one event in Denmark and another one in Finland. Only the Colorado Skydiving League represented the NSL with its Scrambles and the AA Class competition at Mile-Hi Skydiving. The two Scandinavian countries launched the 2005 season much more successful this year. Finland had hardly any activities at this time of the year in 2004. One AAA Class team and one A Class team attended the meet in July 2004, before the August 2004 event in Finland attracted a total of ten teams in two... (more)

Did you know that Perris Helion had a great comeback in round two of the SSL April meet?
posted: May 11th, 2005 The new round of NSL-TV shows the Southwest Skydiving League April meet catching up with the Florida Skydiving League's event on the same weekend. The coverage of the FSL meet in Lake Wales has already shown round two, while the footage of the SSL meet became available later and recently featured the first round of the event. Both competitions now show round two on NSL-TV with the same sequences in each competition class. Unfortunately, the quality of the SSL footage is still not up to top performance, even though it slowly gets better. In fact, six of the eight SSL video files offer average... (more)

Did you know that Scrambles and Rookies do well in Colorado despite weather issues?
posted: May 10th, 2005 The Colorado Skydiving League held its second event of the 2005 season last weekend at the Mile-Hi Skydiving Center. The Scrambles event and the Rookie Class competition took place on Saturday, while the AA Class teams competed on Sunday. CSL Director Brian Vande Krol provided the meet story. Clouds and winds on Saturday kept some skydivers home and prevented the competitors from completing all of their rounds. Team Awesome braved the winds and completed all three rounds, while Team Joe only finished one round. Caged Animals completed two rounds. (more)

Did you know that all three Danish project teams competed last weekend?
posted: May 9th, 2005 The first scores of last weekend's events are now posted. The first competition of the 2005 season in Denmark, the "DFU Open" took place in Flensburg, a German city at the northern border to the Scandinavian country. Denmark's national team's member Mikael Toft explained that the meet was planned to take place at the German location since there was no adequate jump plane available in Denmark for this meet date.
