News Article Did you know that the Lightspeed XP history is longer than it looks like?
posted: Jul 22nd, 2023 The NSL News introduced the U.S. 8-way team Bra Nok on July 20th, as it is registered with the U.S. delegation for the FAI Outdoor World Cup in Voss, Norway, which is coming up soon. The update mentioned that the complete Lightspeed XP lineup is a part of the 8-way team, with former Arizona Airspeed videographer Taylor Buffington on camera. Bra Nok was in training at Skydive Paraclete XP when the NSL News covered the Summer Classic competition live at the event site. Lightspeed XP did not participate in the 4-way competition, as the weekend was the 8-way team's only training opportunity before... (more)
News Article Did you know that last weekend's events created a very powerful leaderboard?
posted: Jul 21st, 2023 The combined leaderboard of the Paraclete XP Summer Classic and the Pre-Nationals at Skydive Spaceland Houston was not very large. However, it was very powerful in all three categories. In fact, there is a very good chance that it featured at least poterntial USPA medal winners in all four USPA categories at this year's national championships. XPG4 will compete in 4-way Open at the USPA Nationals, after winning FAI medals in 4-way Women at the FAI Outdoor World Cup. They will not be able to challenge Arizona Airspeed for the 4-way Open Class title back in the United States. However, they will... (more)
News Article Did you know that the CitiZens lived up to the expectations?
posted: Jul 20th, 2023 One of the two teams on the A Class leaderboard of the Pre-Nationals/Summer Classic combination last weekend had a longer travel distance, as well. Florida is not as far away from Raeford in North Carolina as Colorado is, and some of the CitiZens from Skydive City in Zephyrhills were able to travel by car to Skydive Paraclete XP. The CitiZens were at least familiar with the travel route, even though they had not visited Paraclete XP's skydiving center before. They had trained in Paraclete XP's 16-foot flying chamber earlier this year for an indoor camp with Jeana Billings and Kirk Verner. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that Bra Nok trained for the FAI Outdoor World Cup at Skydive Paraclete XP?
posted: Jul 19th, 2023 The NSL News reported on June 1st that a very strong U.S. delegation will travel to Voss in Norway next month, with a realistic chance to win all three horizontal Formation Skydiving events (4-way Open - 4-way Women - 8-way Open). It is not only a very strong delegation. The NSL News story onJuly 4th followed up on the event, and the U.S. delegation included a total of nine teams at that point in time. Arizona Airspeed, XPG4 and XPGK8 are expected to compete for the three sets of FAI gold medals, and six other U.S. teams attend the event, as well, with chances for additional medals in 8-way... News Article Did you know that the AAA Class teams did not hurt each other last weekend?
posted: Jul 18th, 2023 The AAA Class competition of the Pre-Nationals/Summer Classic weekend did not feature any exciting battles, neither between the teams at Skydive Spaceland Houston nor at Skydive Paraclete XP. The U.S. national team in 4-way Women, XPG4, was too strong for the new Golden Knights 4-way lineup without former team captain Andrew Starr. XPG4 keep throwing out new team record numbers when they compete, after Jeana Billings re-joined the team this year. The same lineup had posted a 27.6 average at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023, after 25.4 with former member Shannon Catalano at the Paraclete... (more)
News Article Did you know that Colorado is one point ahead of Texas?
posted: Jul 17th, 2023 The events of the NSL Network are meant to offer 4-way teams and competitors regular opportunities to collect competition experiences before attending national or international events where the performance pressure is usually on a significantly higher level. In addition, using the synchronized competition draw allows the participants at different meets and geographically distant locations to compare their scores on combined leaderboards that the National Skydiving League has been creating since 2004 on SKYLEAGUE.COM. Events such as Skydive Spaceland Houston's Pre-Nationals and Paraclete XP's... (more)
