News Article Did you know that Germany's Airbus 8-way team gets French help by Gaelle Giesen and Damien Sorlin?
posted: Aug 4th, 2023 The NSL News reported on July 7th that a high-profile 8-way team would challenge the new Airbus lineup at the upcoming German Outdoor Nationals, which begins on August 30th. The new lineup of the Airbus 8-way team was introduced on January 23rd this year, at a time when there was no serious opponent in sight for the national team of many years. Airbus captain Thomas Spielvogel and his two returning 8-way veteran team mates, Steffen Schiedek and Carl Enders, seemed to have the opportunity to re-build the 8-way team carefully and without any pressure. The first obstacle occurred when new member... (more)
News Article Did you know that Sweden's Aurora need healing time before Round 1 in Norway?
posted: Aug 3rd, 2023 The NSL News reported on June 27th that Aurora will represent Sweden in 4-way Open at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023. The national team of the past years, Echochamber Oceanside, were not able to include the event in the team's schedule, and they will miss the opportunity to compete for a set of bronze medals on the leaderboard of the embedded European Outdoor Championship. In fact, Echochamber would probably be the top contender for the European bronze medals and for the 5th place on the World Cup leaderboard, especially after posting a 19.5 average at Sweden's national outdoor championship... News Article Did you know that CSC Constellation could challenge Disturbance Delicious in September?
posted: Aug 2nd, 2023 The recent Indoor Cloud League update from iFLY Dallas connected with the team story of Disturbance Delicious and former Dallas Dynasty member Michael Erikson. The Disturbance Delicious lineup also connects with another 4-way team, which is not located in Texas. SDC Rhythm XP member Keith Conner managed and organized the July meet of the Midwest Skydiving League, where four teams competed at the Chicagoland Skydiving Center, the host of the USPA Nationals 2018. It is the home of CSC Constellation, the 4-way team project that was launched three years later at the Chicagoland Skydiving Center. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that Spaceland Disturbance Delicious in the making for USPA contention?
posted: Aug 1st, 2023 The NSL News introduced a new team from Texas with the Indoor Cloud League update on July 11th. Four regular participants of Kyle Hermberg's ICL events at iFLY Dallas had formed Disturbance Delicious, with Kyle Hermberg's former Dallas Dynasty team mate Michael Erickson in the lineup. Disturbance Delicious is not an indoor team only, and it did not take long after the May update of the Indoor Cloud League at iFLY Dallas until Sydney Lunceford, Christina Edwards, Pressly Bonner and Michael Erickson, with Donaldo Grajeda on camera, attended their first outdoor competition. Skydive Spaceland's... (more)
News Article Did you know that Norgyx/Norgies and Agera had a re-match in 8-way?
posted: Jul 31st, 2023 The situation behind Agera and Norgyx/Norgies at Norway's national championships was not less interesting compared to the dramatic duel on the very top of the 4-way leaderboard. In fact, Thyra and Grenland Grumsen All Stars had their own unofficial jump-off in Round 10. The 7-point difference at the end does not reflect how close both teams were throughout their own 10-round battle. The same whole 7-point difference was completely a result of the Super Sequence in Round 10 that the more experienced team mastered significantly better than the young Thyra lineup. Thyra has been brought to the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Agera outscored Norgyx/Norgies in the Super Sequence of Round 10?
posted: Jul 30th, 2023 The Norwegian Outdoor Nationals 2023 did not take place at the skydiving center in Voss, host of the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023. The teams at this year's national championship were jumping from the Twin Otter at Skydive Tonsberg, south of Oslo, and home drop zone of many Norwegian skydivers who live in or near the country's capital city. The 4-way teams at the outdoor world cup in Voss will jump from a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, 8-way teams from a Twin Otter. The two Norwegian national teams in horizontal 4-way Formation Skydiving, Agera in 4-way Open and Thyra in 4-way Women, confirmed... (more)
