News Article Did you know that the Shamrock Showdown will define the 2018 starting point to FAI outdoor gold medals?
posted: Jan 15th, 2018 The history of French national 4-way teams at the Shamrock Showdown in DeLand began with the first visit in 2008. National coach Jerome David sent his 4-way Open Class team to Florida in March to face off with Arizona Airspeed's Odyssey lineup at the beginning of the world meet season. The outcome in Maubeuge 2008 turned out to be the same as in DeLand, only even closer with a 1-point difference after eight rounds. Both teams were back in DeLand a year later, and the start of the 2009 season featured a 3-point battle over ten rounds, with Airspeed once again on the top at the end. The Shamrock... (more)
News Article Did you know that the 4-way junior revolution started a decade ago?
posted: Dec 9th, 2017 No surprise that this issue, with the story of a "former-skydiver's 11-year-old kid now kicking ass in the tunnel has inspired me to go back to one of my favorite topics: 4-way juniors. I have been bringing up the wonderful addition to our sport for years, which came with the invention of the "vertical wind tunnel" for training purposes. Yes, that's how Bill Kitchen called SkyVenture Orlando when he built the first wind tunnel in 1998, the beginning of the indoor empire that former Airspeed member Alan Metni created after he bought SkyVenture Orlando from Bill. Kids were not even a thought... (more)
News Article Did you know that Aerokart Deep Blue also owns the unofficial indoor world record?
posted: Nov 21st, 2017 Yesterday's update covered the new FAI/IPC world records in the three 4-way categories (Open - Women - Junior) since the adoption and introduction of the indoor events in 2014. The same story included a review of the standing 4-way outdoor records for the "longest 4-way sequence" within 35 seconds, which were both posted in Round 3 of the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Menzelinsk 2010. Arizona Airspeed's recently posted 59-pointer FAI/IPC indoor world record in Montreal is higher than the highest outdoor score that was posted by France and Russia in Menzelinsk 2010 (56). This... News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed, Golden Knights and Ak'demie 2 own the current FAI/IPC indoor world records?
posted: Nov 20th, 2017 The FAI/IPC adoption of indoor competition in 2014 has also created a new set of world records that the world's governing skydiving federation is keeping track of. The outdoor records of 2010 are still standing. The competition draw for the FAI World Meet in Menzelinsk 2010 had generated a Super Sequence with five random formations in Round 3 (J,M,Q,P,L) and two teams took advantage of the new world record opportunity. The French 4-way world champions of 2010 (Jeremie Rollett, Julien Degen, Mathieu and Guillaume Bernier, with Olivier Henaff on camera) and the Sky Panthers (Michail Kuznetsov,... (more)

posted: Nov 4th, 2017 The Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas has not broken the total of 100 points for the six 14+ sequences this year so far and never came so close as in October. The total of 99 points on the October leaderboard is still the highest result this year. Four different lineups worked together for the highscore of 2017, guided by coaches Amanda Lampton and Scott Levy, assisted by Kyle Hermberg. Lacey and Zach Breaux, Donaldo Grajeda and Michael Erickson joined forces in one of the two lineups that posted the highscores in two categories (AA - A). Player coaches Scott Levy and Kyle Hermberg... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed and Black Cat will continue the HayaBusa hunt in 2018?
posted: Oct 29th, 2017 There was a 4-way Open Class battle at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017 that was even more exciting, at least closer, than the showdown between NMP PCH HayaBusa and Weembi High Rollers. In fact, Arizona Airspeed and Black Cat needed an extra round to break their tie after Round 10. The NSL News mentioned in the last preview before Round 1 that "the teams will still be missing the fastest sequence of the meet, which was drawn for the extra round" and that "there is hope for a fly-off though, as the 4-way Open Class field is tight enough in the medal rankings for a chance to see the fast sequence...
