News Article Did you know that Spaceland Toxic is more than an underdog this year?
posted: Jul 17th, 2018 Last weekend's Spaceland-Houston Pre-Nationals 2018 brought a total of eight 4-way teams and three 8-way teams together in Texas for this year's test before the USPA Nationals. The same event was held with the same purpose in August 2017 when five 4-way and two 8-way teams launched the new event. Dallas 350ish won the AAA Class competition with three members of the Dallas 350 lineup who will compete at the national championships in September. Scott Levy and Lucas King, original team members of the 2013 lineup, competed with Scott Latinis who was also in the original lineup of 2013. Scott... (more)
News Article Did you know that AAA Class teams from three different countries shared the leaderboard last weekend?
posted: Jul 6th, 2018 Last weekend's events created once again an interesting international AAA Class leaderboard. Teams from Germany, United States and Czech Republic competed at three different locations (Nordcup at YUU Skydive in Itzehoe, CZ Cup in Most, SCSL June meet in Elsinore) and used the same competition draw. AtomiX YUU won the AAA Class competition in Germany easily and finished on top of the combined leaderboard. AtomiX was still not very happy with the 10-round performance, as the German team has scored significantly higher last year and was aiming at a higher meet average than the 15.5 that won the... News Article Did you know that Rob Radez is filling the tail slot for Doug Barron?
posted: May 26th, 2018 Florida's Indoor Cloud League team had opened the May competition with the first scores from iFLY Orlando on the 12+ leaderboard and followed up a few weeks later at iFLY Tampa with a set of six scores and videos for the 14+ leaderboard. The total for the new month is only three points short of the 111 points for April, and both Florida teams are now waiting for the results of the other teams on the two Indoor Cloud League leaderboards. The May team finished up the FSL Tunnel Kicker on the 18th once again with a special greeting to SDC Rhythm XP member Doug Barron, who was injured in a low-altitude... (more)
News Article Did you know that Clement Martin Saint Leon has not missed a Gavroche 4-way meet since 2008?
posted: May 24th, 2018 Gavroche Weembi from France was recently part of two NSL News stories that were not directly related to each other. The competition videos of the French 4-way team at the World Challenge 2018 were posted on 22 May 2018 with the story of the 3-team battle for the 5th place. The earlier story on 17 May 2018 confirmed that France will not have an 8-way team at this year's FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Australia. The two stories still connect since Gavroche Weembi has a very deep 8-way history. The French national 8-way team of 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012 also included the members... (more)
News Article Did you know that NMP PCH HayaBusa won the dramatic Round 5 with the highest score for a round since 2010?
posted: Apr 7th, 2018 The World Challenge 2018 is getting close to completion on Saturday afternoon. The NSL News has been supporting the live coverage provided by the event host at Twinwoods Adventure, and there is a lot of footage of interviews and roaming on World Challenge TV. Most of the teams in Bedford will probably post new team record averages, as a few faster rounds (4 - 5 - 7) offered scoring opportunities. There was no real Super Sequence in the 10-round draw; however, the sequence of Round 5 put three random formations behind Block 9, which is the fastest block in the current dive pool. Living up... News Article Did you know that Dallas 350 posted an indoor team record average at Paraclete?
posted: Mar 8th, 2018 The NSL News covered the exciting 4-way Women battle between U.S. team Phoenix XP and Parachute Montreal Fuzion from Canada in detail on 6 March 2018. There was a team right ahead of both national 4-way teams for the FAI World Meet 2018 that was indirectly related to the U.S. team. Dallas 350 placed 6th at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2018 and was three points ahead of both 4-way Women teams after Round 10, who then went into an extra round to break their tie. Dallas 350 has two team members, Scott Levy and Lucas King, who trained and competed with Phoenix XP member Amanda Lampton... (more)
