Did you know that NSL-TV features fresh freefall footage of Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP? posted: Sep 2nd, 2020 Recent NSL News updates have mostly covered teams in training. There have not been many events and competitions, due to the corona virus crisis. However, the footage that especially the top teams in the sport have provided allows at least a view of what can be expected when the situation changes to the better again.
The NSL Network has brought teams together indirectly for many years by coordinating events as much as possible and applying the same competition draw for events that fall on the same dates. The internet has made it possible to synchronize meets and then spread scores, videos and... (more)
Did you know that Matt Davidson plans his 8-way comeback for December? posted: Aug 27th, 2020 The NSL News switches back from France to the United States, where the 4-way and 8-way opponents are in training at Skydive Paraclete XP. Airspeed XP8 completed a training camp of over a week on Wednesday, and Arizona Airspeed started a new 4-way training camp on Thursday. XPG4 has indoor training scheduled for Thursday evening and will be jumping from the Twin Otter on Friday.
Airspeed XP8 training camps are always worth the attention, as the U.S. national team will compete for the U.S. delegation at the Mondial 2020 next year and try to defend the U.S. gold medals that the Golden Knights have... (more)
Did you know that JaNette Lefkowitz and Christy Frikken have very similar world meet stories? posted: Aug 18th, 2020 NSL Live Talk with SDC Rhythm XP is a regular feature of the NSL News, and the team's new inside center, Christy Frikken, has been a part of NSL Live Talk many times, as well. However, the most recently published video (August 13th) came out of the NSL-TV archives and went back to the USPA Nationals 2008. It was in no way related to SDC Rhythm XP.
In fact, it has been a while since Christy Frikken had her last appearance on NSL-TV. It was in her last year with SDC Rhythm XP when the NSL News visited Skydive Sebastian on 13 January 2015 for an update at the beginning of the 2015 season.

Did you know that Christy Frikken did not even think of SDC Rhythm XP in 2008? posted: Aug 13th, 2020 The recent USPA update that the NSL News covered yesterday included several videos that were recorded at the USPA Nationals 2008 and have not been published on SKYLEAGUE.COM until now. It was a very interesting coincidence that one of the interviews had host and Skydive Arizona's owner Larry Hill on the PD-TV stage, together with USPA's executive director Ed Scott.
Albert Berchtold, who will succeed Ed Scott in January 2021, had set up the stage for Performance Designs and the NSL News, and Ed Scott introduced himself at the first national championship that he attended. The host of the interview,... (more)
Did you know that the complete original Rhythm lineup met at the Shamrock Showdown 2006? posted: Jul 13th, 2020 The recent NSL News updates from the archives, including video footage of interviews and competition jumps, were always connecting events of the past with current events. The Shamrock Showdown 2006 was one of the high-profile competitions that created similar connections.
The interview with 4-way world champions Natasha Montgomery and Gary Smith, which was posted on July 8th, related to the same event. Their team DeLand Fire would win 4-way gold medals five months later at the FAI World Meet 2006.
The same Shamrock Showdown 2006 was a remarkable 4-way competition and had many different connections... (more)
Did you know that Christy Frikken defeated NMP PCH HayaBusa twice? posted: Jun 7th, 2020 The recent change in SDC Rhythm XP's lineup is an interesting move in many ways, and it also has many different angles for a closer look.
One of the most interesting angles is the one that goes back in 4-way competition history and reviews the relationship between the reigning and defending indoor and outdoor world champions from Belgium, NMP PCH HayaBusa, and new Rhythm member Christy Frikken. HayaBusa and Rhythm will compete for their countries at the FAI Mondial Tanay 2020 next year.
The NSL News pointed out on June 1st that only three countries have ever won FAI gold medals in 4-way Open... (more)
