Yesterday, the NSL News took a closer look at the teams that will also compete at the World Challenge 2011 in a week. Those nine teams include the three top contenders, Arizona Airspeed, Aerodyne Aerokart Maubeuge and NMP-PCH Hayabusa. The same three teams will not only race with each other for the next two years to win the next 4-way gold medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Dubai 2012. posted: Mar 14th, 2011 There were no new arrivals today in DeLand, and the teams that are currently training for the Shamrock Showdown 2011 had another beautiful day with perfect jumping conditions. New video footage features a few of NMP-PCH Hayabusa's training jumps today. Hayabusa is right on target with the training schedule despite the late arrival after airline problems with the luggage. The Belgian team took off the jumpsuits today and will not re-dress until Wednesday morning. Tuesday is a day off. posted: Feb 18th, 2011 This year's activities in Florida to grow the Formation Skydiving community and introduce more skydivers to the 4-way fun had another event last weekend in DeLand, while SDC Rhythm XP members worked with the Team For A Day participants in Sebastian. Rob Laidlaw's Skydive University organized a player coach event, which was based on the same player coaching concept that Rhythm applies in Florida, in the Paraclete XP windtunnel and at their summer home Skydive Chicago, as Arizona Frenzy offers it in Eloy and as Perris Fury has done if for years in Perris. posted: Feb 17th, 2011 The situation between the French national team Aerodyne Maubeuge and Arizona Airspeed after the Valentine's Meet 2011 has been discussed extensively, and the scores and videos will be subject to more thoughts, comments and evaluations in the skydiving community for a while. posted: Feb 17th, 2011 The NSL News reported on 1 December 2010 that SDC Rhyhtm XP would launch a series of their "Team For A Day" events in Florida this year. The story on 8 February 2011 followed up with information of a Team For A Day last weekend in Sebastian. Rhythm had just completed the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships 2011 with a promising performance, as the self-made team moved up in the unofficial US rankings from 5th place at the USPA Nationals 2011 to 4th place after the windtunnel competition in Raeford. posted: Feb 16th, 2011 Original Airspeed member Dan BC began creating big-way skydiving events back in 1992. He wanted to challenge competitors in the sport to build unusual, complex formations and launched the Airmoves Invitational and a few years later the Arizona Challenge. Finally, he created the P3 Power Play in 2005, and it has been a summer event ever since. It changed this year when Perris hosted its first winter event.
