Did you know that Becca's Bootie Boogie focuses on Formation Skydiving? posted: Jan 28th, 2009 Rebecca Minkin caught the NSL News attention for the first time when she attended her first 4-way competition at the May meet of the Florida Skydiving League in Sebastian (Archives > 2008 > Leagues > Florida > Meet 3 Results). The three event stories mentioned her team, Airplay, and her own Point part in it briefly. It was the beginning of a serious addiction to Formation Skydiving competition.
Becca came back for another FSL meet in 2008, the NSL Playoffs event in September at Skydive City where she competed with a different lineup. She had already moved on a good step in her skydiving career... (more)
Did you know that the XL 2009 reunion at the World Challenge features the complete 2003 lineup? posted: Jan 21st, 2009 The NSL News began with the coverage of the World Challenge 2009 already ealier this year and published a few previews on 7 January 2009 and on 12 January 2009.
Pete Allum, former British national competitor and currently team member of the Italian 4-way team Sinapsi, winner of the bronze medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 in Germany, recently returned from his summer duties in Europe to DeLand for the winter season. He updated the NSL News with information of his own work agenda, and he also had interesting news that related to the World Challenge 2009.

Did you know that Dan BC is always right? posted: Jan 19th, 2009 The recent updates of the French national 4-way teams, France Maubeuge and Deep Blue, brought the NSL News back to the World Meet 2008 quite a few times. The situation in the female category was the topic of the last story on 12 January 2009 after a visit of the Deep Blue members in the NSL office.
The French team surely has the gold medals at the world meet in 2010 in mind. However, teams from the United Kingdom and the USA have dominated the female 4-way category ever since it was launched in 1999, and UK's team Bodyflight Storm is the reigning world champion.

Did you know that the Aerokart Deep Blue members are laughing a lot? posted: Jan 16th, 2009 The NSL News date with the French national team in the female category, Aerokart Deep Blue, worked out yesterday, after another 12-jump day in cold weather conditions.
Two of these training jumps have already been uploaded. The video of the live interview can be viewed by clicking here.
Christophe Chekroun is the old and the new videographer for Deep Blue. He explained in the interview that he filmed the team already throughout the 2008 season.
Fabrice Rieu, who is now filming the Open Class team, only took the Deep Blue slot to film the competition jumps at the World Meet 2008. From here... (more)
Did you know that France Maubeuge visited the NSL News office for a live interview? posted: Jan 15th, 2009 The first visit in Florida for last year's participation at the Shamrock Showdown in DeLand motivated the French national team, France Maubeuge, to consider a winter training at the same place.
The plans materialized when national coach Jerome David supported the move from Arizona to Florida and even added the winter training of the female lineup, Deep Blue, to the schedule of the French delegation.

Did you know that the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2009 has a world class judging panel? posted: Jan 14th, 2009 The FSL Shamrock Showdown has become one of the prime events in 4-way competition over the years. This year's meet is the 7th showdown at Skydive DeLand.
The Shamrock Showdown with its current format was first held in 2002. It was the third meet of the regular Florida Skydiving League season in 2002 and 2003. The FSL decided in 2004 to offer teams and competitors in Florida a longer winter break. The Shamrock Showdown has been the official FSL season opener ever since.
