posted: Mar 3rd, 2009 The NSL News can now follow up on the story of 23 February 2009, which covered once again the Valentine's Meet 2009. Perris Fury's meet videos were uploaded that day, and the NSL News closed the article after reviewing the videos with the question how Airspeed Odyssey was able to create an 18-point difference. Did you know that new indoor scores were posted in France?
posted: Mar 2nd, 2009 As in 2008, the Carolina Skydiving League event at the Paraclete XP windtunnel in Raeford was the first indoor competition this year, and the Aerokart windtunnel in Paris, France, followed up with the annual French indoor championship last weekend. It was officially the second championship sanctioned by the French skydiving association. Eleven teams competed in the AAA Class at the 2008 event, and Aerokart Mamba won with a 22.5 average after ten rounds. Twelve teams competed in Paris last weekend, and Aerkart Mamaba did not try to defend the title. Hayabusa Defence posted the team's first scores... (more)

Did you know that Sebastian Tempest has a new member in the Point slot?
posted: Feb 28th, 2009 The best team of the Florida Skydiving League 2008 and winner of the NSL Championship 2008, Sebastian Tempest, recently reported a personnel change for the 2009 season, as well. Tempest's Center Outside of 2008, Ari Perelman, will not continue with the Sebastian team this year. The team story of the Sebastian Tempest 2008 line-up began in August 2007 in Zephyrhills when the Teiwaz 4-way scramble with two line-ups brought Chris Ash, Thiago Murradas, Ari Perelman and Kris Byrne together in one of the two line-ups for the FSL meet. Did you know that Hayabusa Defence looks for more competition experience with the new lineup?
posted: Feb 27th, 2009 It has been a while since the NSL News audience heard the last time from the Belgian national 4-way team, Hayabusa Defence, bronze medalist of the World Meet 2008 in France, Maubeuge. The team name has been listed for quite a while on the event page of the World Challenge 2009. Other than that, the last update was posted on 4 October 2008 (Archives > 2008 > News > Search for "Hayabusa"). Hayabusa Defence had just won the CISM 2008 championship with a 30.5 average. Did you know that the CamScore 2009 season begins with the Shamrock Showdown?
posted: Feb 26th, 2009 The actual CamScore success story began at the World Challenge indoor competition at Bodyflight Bedford in 2007. Computer wizzard Andrew Mansfield had taken on the challenge to computerize and digitalize DZ-TV and competition judging. Result was a software program that was applied at the World Challenge 2007 and worked flawlessly. The program took a video feed from the windtunnel cameras through to the CamScore video recording software. The timing of the video footage was controlled by using a camcorder remote client. Did you know that the World Air Games 2009 are canceled for the 4-way teams?
posted: Feb 25th, 2009 Sad news for the fans of 4-way Formation Skydiving competition and Freestyle came from Italy this week. The organizers of the World Air Games 2009 in Turin informed teams and competitors of both events that 4-way Formation Skydiving and Freestyle competition have been removed from the event schedule. The official website of the World Air Games 2009 still features 4-way competition on its front page. However, the bad news were delivered by e-mail to the participants in the meantime.
