posted: Nov 26th, 2009 Kirk Verner, one of the original members of the legendary Airspeed 4-way team (Jack Jefferies, Dan BC, Mark Kirkby), did not compete at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships, as the NSL News mentioned quite a few times during the live coverage from Texas. He has been dealing with a shoulder injury for a while and finally decided to get it fixed with a surgery before the USPA Nationals. Did you know that Hot Flash made all meets after a shaky 2009 season?
posted: Nov 25th, 2009 The first part of the exciting Rookie Class competition for the gold medals at the NSL Championship 2009 was covered on 23 November 2009. The story mentioned that Relativity from Colorado and Team DiZaster from Florida came to compete for the Aerodyne Rookie Class Cup and that Hot Flash was out for fun and competition experience. The Rookie Class team from Texas has a very interesting short history that began in April this year. Did you know that 100-way teams and 4-way teams follow the same strategy?
posted: Nov 24th, 2009 SkyQuest 2009, with the last 4-way outdoor competition in 2009, is over. Ben Liston's wind tunnel competition at SkyVenture New Hampshire on December 5 will be the last 4-way event this year. The Kaleidoscope Divers left Florida with a total of 13 jumps from 18,000 feet in four days. The 4-way teams completed all ten rounds after the start on Friday afternoon. Did you know that the Rookie Class teams offered great competition in DeLand?
posted: Nov 23rd, 2009 The NSL Championship 2009 4-way competition of SkyQuest 2009 was once again a small but fun event, and it was also very exciting at the same time. The competition in the Rookie Class and in the AA Class was so close that everything was possible until the last round. Perris Jimani and Teiwaz were separated by only two points after ten rounds. Team DiZaster and Relativity had a 4-point difference at the end. The three Rookie Class teams were from three different states. Did you know that 4-way and 100-way teams share the SkyQuest 2009 planes now?
posted: Nov 20th, 2009 The 4-way teams that are adding another meet to the 2009 season have now joined the action at SkyQuest 2009 and compete for the NSL Championship awards. The AA Class teams and Rookie Class teams have already completed two rounds at the end of Friday. Teiwaz will compete with the PD Ninjas in the AAA Class beginning tomorrow morning. The 4-way teams take turns with the two 100-way teams. Fog delayed the start of the 100-way Kaleidoscope Dives this morning. Did you know that SkyQuest 2009 in now in full swing?
posted: Nov 19th, 2009 It took a little while in the morning until the first load went up. Many Kaleidoscope Divers still had to register and get paperwork out of the way. Then the team captains (Larry Henderson, Pål Bergan, Kate Cooper-Jensen, Tom Jenkins, Victor Kravtsov, BJ Worth, Mike Johnston, Patrick Passe, Roger Ponce de Leon, Lou Tommaso and Solly Williams) needed some time to prepare the two 100-way teams for the first jump.
