Did you know that Escondido battles regularly with old friends from Portugal? posted: May 17th, 2013 The next international meet weekend is coming up, with teams competing in France, the Czech Republic and the USA. Last weekend's leaderboard was dominated by UK teams, and the NSL News week was busy with updates from the United Kingdom accordingly.
The attention to the UK teams guided the NSL News to a related topic and a team that did not compete last weekend. It's a team that has not caught much attention despite the fact that it is actually the longest standing one in the United Kingdom. The NSL News is now catching up with AAA Class team Escondido.
Escondido was started by a group of... (more)
Did you know that the Blue Rebels brought 4way competition to Greece? posted: May 16th, 2013 No team from Greece has ever competed at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving, and the NSL history of 4way competition in Greece began in May 2008. That was the first time that the Blue Rebels appeared on the NSL leaderboard.
Team leader Giannis Delaportas took his first lineup to Italy where the Blue Rebels competition career began at the annual 4way competition in Fano. The Blue Rebels competed in the Rookie Class and finished with a 7.8 average. Four years later, the Blue Rebels won their first international competition with the 1st place at the ISR Grand Prix 2012.

Did you know that there is a new AA Class race in the United Kingdom? posted: May 15th, 2013 The three teams on the AA Class leaderboard of last weekend's events all had their names on other ones earlier this year.
Anti Gravity Ninja Swans and Taramis competed at the World Challenge 2013 where they had finished in the same ranking order. 4mula attended the season opener of the Southern California Skydiving League, as the NSL News reported on 2 May 2013.
The outdoor scores last weekend on the same leaderboard indicate that there will be another great battle for this year's AA Class title in the United Kingdom. Hyrrokkin and Raykipo had a 3-point race over eight rounds at last year's... (more)
Did you know that Raykipo is in perfect step with NMP-PCH Hayabusa? posted: May 14th, 2013 Last weekend's leaderboard is complete, and teams from the United Kingdom won all four categories.
The Top 4 teams in the AAA Class, two from the UK and two from Denmark, all had attended the World Challenge 2013, as well, and the NSL News reported earlier this week that VAF Warriors and Airplay switched their rankings between the indoor meet in Bedford and the outdoor competition in Denmark.
The overall AAA Class leaderboard still needs another adjustment. The teams are ranked by the meet averages after each weekend's events, even if the number of completed rounds is different. VAF Warriors... (more)
Did you know that Martial Ferre is selecting a new German all-female 8way lineup? posted: May 13th, 2013 The idea of a female 8way team is not new and was born even before the IPC (International Parachuting Commission) created the female 4way category. The new event was tested at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 1999 for the first time and officially integrated in Spain 2001.

Perris owner Melanie Conatser had launched the project and was a team member of the original lineup (Melanie Conatser, Jackie Dineen, Doro... (more)
Did you know that VAF Warriors turned the table at the second Danish showdown with Airplay this year? posted: May 12th, 2013 Denmark's annual season opener, the DFU Cup, brought six teams together this weekend under challenging weather conditions.
The event is usually a 10-round competition. Teams and meet management were struggling this year to complete six rounds in the AAA Class and five rounds in the A Class.
The challenging weather did not keep two teams in the AAA Class from continuing a battle for Denmark's top position in this category. VAF Warriors and Airplay used each of the six rounds trying to outscore each other after the first internal Danish battle at the World Challenge 2013.DFU Cup 2013Round 1Round... (more)
