News Article Did you know that four Air Force teams had rematches at the USPA Collegiates?
posted: Jan 1st, 2024 The last 4-way competition of 2023 took place at Skydive Elsinore in California. It was even an outdoor competition, which the weather in Southern California allows at any time of the year. However, the USPA Collegiates have been scheduled for this time of the year for a very long time, and the outdoor event needs good weather. As the USPA Nationals, the collegiate championship is an annual event, and it always follows the major event in the United States a few months later in the calendar year. In fact, the date of the Collegiates is even more predictable than the outdoor championship, where... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Skywalkers Junior home in Most has a busy summer schedule?
posted: Dec 29th, 2023 The Czech 4-way teams concluded their 2023 season with their last scores for the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard. Eight teams took on the six different December sequences and finished with a total of 119 ICL points for the month, which brings the Czech total of the year to 1,428 points. It's not a secure position yet, as the iFLY Dallas team could still move ahead of the current Czech position on the top. Six of the eight teams on the last Czech Indoor Cloud League leaderboard of the year had also competed at the December meet of the World Tunnel League, and four of these six teams are responsible... News Article Did you know that four countries have never missed an outdoor world championship since 1985?
posted: Dec 28th, 2023 The NSL News coverage of Arizona Airspeed's, NMP PCH HayaBusa's and Qatar's lineups over the years turned to the consistency of French national teams in 4-way Open, which completed the overview of the currently four strongest teams in the world. The last NSL News update on this topic, with the French lineups since 1985, pointed out that United States and France are two of the few nations that have never missed FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving. Only U.S. 4-way teams have won medals at each of the 20 biannual events, and France left empty-handed only three times (2014, 2021, 2022).... (more)
News Article Did you know that France has had a special format to select the 4-way Open Class lineups?
posted: Dec 27th, 2023 The recent NSL News coverage of the strongest 4-way countries in the world and the development of national teams' lineups continues with one missing major piece of the 4-way puzzle. France has been the strongest player shortly behind the United States since the current format in Formation Skydiving competition was introduced in 1985. There are only four countries in the world who have never missed an outdoor world championship since 1985, and French 4-way Open Class teams have also won medals at each of the events, except in 2014, 2021 and 2022. Only the national 4-way teams of the United States... (more)
News Article Did you know that it's a long way to FAI medal level?
posted: Dec 25th, 2023 The recent NSL News updates that covered the world's best 4-way teams, and their history included the development of the lineups over the years. Arizona Airspeed's 30-year anniversary followed the review of the NMP PCH HayaBusa history on December 11th. Both teams follow the same strategy and recruit their own team members, even though the Belgian national team is limited by the restrictions that the military commitment brings along. However, at least the strong desire of a very passionate competitor, like Michele Silvi from Italy, may allow a HayaBusa candidate to make it into the lineup coming... (more)
News Article Did you know that HF Chameleons finished first time in 1st place on a AAA leaderboard?
posted: Dec 24th, 2023 It has not happened often in the past that the HF Chameleons defeated the HF Flying Rebels/Skywalkers Junior in the past. The Chameleons won only once in the six meets when both teams competed in the A Class (2017/2018), never when both teams met in the AA Class (2019). Flying Rebels and Chameleons moved up to AAA Class competition while they were still eligible for the 4-way Junior category (AA) and have faced each other 21 times directly on AAA leaderboards. The HF Chameleons won four of the 21 indoor duels, including the ones after HF Flying Rebels changed to Skywalkers Junior and began... (more)
