Did you know that Doug Hendrix won the player-coach competition at SkyVenture New Hampshire? posted: Jan 24th, 2024 As usual, the SkyVenture New Hampshire Tunnel Fest 2024 allowed the participants to sign up for more than only one team. Many of the more experienced 4-way competitors are player-coaches for other teams at the same time.
The winner of the unofficial player-coaching contest was Doug Hendrix this year, who won the AAA/Open Class competition with Chicken Bolts and added a second 1st place to his accomplishments. He was also in the lineup of Roscoe’s Roundup who won the AA/Advanced Class competition.

Did you know that the HF Chameleons juniors won the Czech AAA indoor title? posted: Jan 23rd, 2024 The SkyVenture New Hampshire Tunnel Fest 2024 took place at the same time when the Hurricane Factory in Prague hosted this year's national open indoor championship. However, both events needed their own separate competition draws, as the 4-way teams in New Hampshire perform their ten sequences in a 12-foot flying chamber and apply different dive pools, compared to the 14-foot chamber in Prague.
The competition in the Czech Republic featured once again the duel between Skywalkers Junior, reigning national outdoor champions, and HF Chameleons, the Czech national team in 4-way Junior (AA). Skywalkers... (more)
Did you know that Ben Liston fended off the Reunion? posted: Jan 22nd, 2024 The NSL News preview of the SkyVenture New Hampshire Tunnel Fest 2024 on January 9th included a short introduction of the Chicken Bolts lineup, who then competed with the mentioned members last weekend.
It was the first 4-way indoor meet for the New England team, while the complete lineup consists of experienced indoor and outdoor competitors. It could still not be expected that the Chicken Bolts lineup at SkyVenture New Hampshire would create a significant distance to the Reunion of Kim Hollander, Dave Grabowski and Andre Van Heerden, with Louis French completing the lineup.

Did you know that Norway is back on world championship leaderboards after a missed decade? posted: Jan 19th, 2024 The recent NSL News coverage of the medal count in 4-way Formation Skydiving competition since 1985 pointed out that all 20 sets of gold and silver medals went either to the national teams from the United States, France or Belgium, with only two exceptions. Canada won 4-way silver in 1985, Russia in 1989.
Any other medal winning teams had to settle with bronze for 3rd places. There was even one world championship (1989) where the U.S. team ended up in 3rd place. France finished 3rd four times (1985-2012-2016-2018), HayaBusa once for Belgium in 2008. A total of 11 countries have won the 20 bronze... (more)
Did you know that there could be a 4-team 8-way battle for the 3rd place at the world meet? posted: Jan 18th, 2024 The recent NSL News updates around the turn of the year were a mixture of contemporary topics and evaluations of the state of Formation Skydiving competition in the bigger picture. The topic of the current 8-way situation in Germany is actually connecting this combination in an interesting way.
The events related to the situation between Operation Adler, winner of the national championship in 2023, and Airbus, Germany's former national team in 8-way Open for many years, are directly connected to international 8-way competition, as one of the two German teams is supposed to represent the country... Did you know that 4Action applied the Czech competition draw for January? posted: Jan 17th, 2024 The comeback of the Florida Skydiving League had a false start last weekend, as bad weather put a halt to almost all skydiving activities in Florida. The event had to be canceled and was rescheduled for the April 20 weekend.
However, the weather situation cannot keep 4-way teams from indoor training and competition, and one of the newer teams in Florida, 4Action, substituted the outdoor competition with 45 minutes of indoor training at iFLY Fort Lauderdale on the Monday after the planned outdoor competition at Skydive Sebastian.
