News Article Did you know that there are NoPros in Formation Skydiving Competition?
posted: Feb 7th, 2015 Somebody introduced the so-called "unofficial amateur champion" title into the skydiving competition terminology several years ago. I'm afraid that I'm the one to blame, and it's about time to explain a little bit more about that. I think it happened when the "journalistic outlet" of the National Skydiving League had grown to a point where so much content and so many topics came out of the league network that it turned into one of the full-time jobs. The Sun Path Products NSL News service is more or less an unplanned result of the competition league network, which was the only original purpose... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights scored high for iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League group?
posted: Feb 6th, 2015 The mention of the French Girls in a Sun Path Products NSL News update usually triggers another team name, the Golden Knights, either in the same story or shortly afterwards, and vice versa. This time, the French update was first, and it took exactly one day until the Golden Knights story follows. In fact, the update from the US Army headquarters has been in the works while the French Girls are training in Dubai. The Golden Knights are actually away from the headquarters, in a training camp in Florida, and the Sun Path Products NSL News was planning a field trip to the training site, the MacDill... (more)
News Article Did you know that French Girls world champion Perrine Sanchez has a reunion comeback at the World Challenge 2015?
posted: Feb 5th, 2015 It took a while until the complete new lineup of the French Girls eventually came together at the same place and the same time. The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 15 November 2014 that three original Deep Blue members (Sophie Deremaux, Francoise Simons-Hamouchi, Amelie Tirman) competed with new French Girls member Clementine Le Bohec at the FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving and won with an impressive 24.7 average. The other new team member, Anais Maillet, had her opportunity to compete with two of her new team mates and reigning 4-way Women world champions (Sophia Pecout, Christine... (more)
News Article Did you know that the ChatterChicks will have one more word in the AA Class at the World Challenge 2014?
posted: Feb 4th, 2015 One of the teams that signed up early for the World Challenge 2015 are the ChatterChicks from Great Britain. This year's 10-year anniversary event will be the 3rd time for the ChatterChicks to compete in Bedford, and the all-female team will keep the progression through the categories in perfect order. Sarah Ashworth, Tanya Burton, Robynne Haynes and Vikki Poulton started with an 11.3 average in the Rookie Class at the World Challenge 2013. The same lineup then posted a 17.4 average in the A Class a year later. They attended two outdoor meets and the Bodyflight Revenge in the AA Class. The ChatterChicks... (more)
News Article Did you know that Amanda Lampton's Indoor Cloud League group in Texas posted a new iFLY Dallas record total?
posted: Feb 3rd, 2015 Videos and scores from Texas (iFLY Dallas) and Northern California (iFLY SF Bay) were the latest updates for the Indoor Cloud League sequences of January. Nobody could get even close to the Czech teams last month, who posted a new ICL record total with 189 points. However, both US and iFLY groups managed to steal at least one of the highscores. Amanda Lampton's Texas group at iFLY Dallas first beat the previously posted 27-pointer by Czech Rookie Class team Flying Circus by a single point. Dallas 350 members Scott Levy and Lucas King guided Roch Tofil and Debbie Swenson as player coaches... (more)
News Article Did you know that a different 4-way equation brings SDC Rhythm XP into the picture?
posted: Feb 2nd, 2015 The 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2014 and the Wind Games 2015 did not really have that much in common. The event in Dubai is an outdoor competition for the teams who could still not get enough of 4-way and other events at the end of the season, while the Wind Games indoor meet follows soon and very early in the new year. Both events are neither drawing the best teams in the world nor many national teams to the same location at the same time. However, both events still have very strong fields and offer interesting new information. NMP-PCH Hayabusa tested the new lineup for... (more)
