Did you know that Doug Barron and Scott Latinis are still tied after the Indoor Cloud League extra rounds? posted: Nov 24th, 2017 The second Indoor Cloud League November event of the Florida Skydiving League took place in the 14+ flying chamber of iFLY Tampa on Thursday. The first event on November 9th had generated the first November scores on the 12+ leaderboard.
The six 4-way lineups focused mainly on the technical sequences with the four different blocks in the AAA - AA - A sequences. In fact, only one of the teams posted a score for one of the three Rookie Class sequences (RRR - RR - R) and the remainder of the month is open for any other Rookie Class teams to fill the two open scoring opportunities for iFLY Tampa.

Did you know that Russia might take the next VFS top spot in the FAI/IPC world rankings? posted: Nov 22nd, 2017 The NSL News concludes the review of the FAI/IPC 2016 nations rankings with 4-way VFS.
As in 8-way, 12 nations have attended the FAI/IPC world meets and world cups between 2013 and 2016. The results at the events of the past four years determine the rankings at the end of the most recent year.
The situation in 4-way VFS is not much different compared to the other events, where the winning teams at the most recent world meets or world cups are not necessarily mirroring the same nation's position in the world rankings. Did you know that Aerokart Deep Blue also owns the unofficial indoor world record? posted: Nov 21st, 2017 Yesterday's update covered the new FAI/IPC world records in the three 4-way categories (Open - Women - Junior) since the adoption and introduction of the indoor events in 2014.
The same story included a review of the standing 4-way outdoor records for the "longest 4-way sequence" within 35 seconds, which were both posted in Round 3 of the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Menzelinsk 2010.
Arizona Airspeed's recently posted 59-pointer FAI/IPC indoor world record in Montreal is higher than the highest outdoor score that was posted by France and Russia in Menzelinsk 2010 (56).

Did you know that Arizona Airspeed, Golden Knights and Ak'demie 2 own the current FAI/IPC indoor world records? posted: Nov 20th, 2017 The FAI/IPC adoption of indoor competition in 2014 has also created a new set of world records that the world's governing skydiving federation is keeping track of.
The outdoor records of 2010 are still standing. The competition draw for the FAI World Meet in Menzelinsk 2010 had generated a Super Sequence with five random formations in Round 3 (J,M,Q,P,L) and two teams took advantage of the new world record opportunity.

Did you know that No Mercy and Sky4four pushed each other to new team record averages this weekend? posted: Nov 19th, 2017 The 4th Flyspot Open Championship in Poland this weekend included the most exciting AAA Class duel between No Mercy and Sky4four in the history of the two teams.
No Mercy had just posted a new 10-round team record average (21.3) at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017, where Flyspot Definition was the only other team from Poland in the Formation Skydiving competition events and won bronze medals for the Polish delegation.
Sky4four had traveled together with No Mercy to Saarlouis this summer though, for the 4-way Open Class competition of the FAI World Cup 2017.

Did you know that 12 nations have competed in 8-way at FAI events between 2013 and 2016? posted: Nov 19th, 2017 The latest FAI world rankings in 8-way are listing the 12 nations that have competed at FAI world meets and/or world cups between 2013 and 2016.
There seems to be nothing easier than defining the U.S.A. as the world's leader in 8-way competition, not only currently but also for quite a while by now.
The Golden Knights have won the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving three times consecutively (2012, 2014, 2016) and are currently without any serious competition.
However, the U.S.A. are in a similar FAI 8-way situation as with Arizona Airspeed in 4-way Open at the end of the 2016... (more)
