News Article Did you know that former Ak'demie junior Kylian Forsans has a reunion with former team mate Nicolas Mary in 8-way?
posted: Mar 24th, 2018 The Saturday coverage of the French Indoor Nationals 2018 begins with footage from Friday. Three rounds of 8-way competition were completed at Weembi Lille, and the competition for the 1st place is as exciting as it was expected between the three top teams. The combination of several different generations in the Weembi Elder lineup has a 3-point lead over the defending champions, Weembi Girls. The Qatar Falcons are another three points behind, and each team has won or tied the highscore for a round. Everything is possible, even though the 8-way veterans, with Clementine LeBohec in the lineup,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the whole active Ferre family is competing in 8-way at Weembi?
posted: Mar 23rd, 2018 Three rounds of 8-way competition are scheduled for Friday evening, and the opening ceremony took place in the afternoon, followed by the competition draw. The teams went straight to preparations for Round 1, and the promising battle for the top spot at Weembi Lille can begin. The NSL-TV camera captured training action of the Weembi Elder 8 lineup on Thursday evening that was introduced with yesterday's update. It was not the complete lineup, even though Aerodyne Weembi Girls member Clementine LeBohec was in full 8-way training action. 8-way world champion Manu Sarrazin was one of the victims... (more)
News Article Did you know that Aerodyne Weembi Girls is setting new standards in 4-way Women?
posted: Mar 23rd, 2018 The NSL News mentioned briefly on 19 March 2018 that Aerodyne Weembi Girls member Sophia Pecout "was very pleased with her team's performance, as the 23.5 average is a new team record average". The mention came with the promise to follow up with NSL Live Talk at the French Indoor Nationals 2018. The French national team in 4-way Women found some time for a conversation on Thursday between training sessions for the competition at Weembi Lille. NMP PCH HayaBusa and Qatar Falcons coach Gary Smith agreed to be the anchor for the new NSL Live Talk. The same story in the aftermath of the Shamrock... (more)
News Article Did you know that the France vs. Qatar battle continues in 4-way and 8-way at Weembi?
posted: Mar 22nd, 2018 The French 4-way teams and the Qatar Tigers made the transition from Skydive DeLand to Weembi Lille quickly and without any trouble. They could not afford any delays as they are all registered for the French Indoor Nationals 2018. The Qatar Tigers are logically a guest team, while the French teams, Aerodyne Weembi Girls (4-way Women) and Aerodyne Realfly (4-way Open), are in the competition for the French top spots. In fact, last year the same event included the French qualification for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017. Weembi High Rollers had to beat the French national team, Aerodyne Realfly,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the new dive pool suggestions are a slippery road?
posted: Mar 21st, 2018 The dive pool is a new topic for BLUE SKIES MAG's Turning Points, even though it has been covered several times by the NSL News at SKYLEAGUE.COM. There is a simple reason why it has not made the Turning Points column yet. The last change in the dive pool goes further back in time than the first time Kolla and Lara allowed me to put in my two cents for Turning Points. That's a good thing (the quiet and peaceful past). It used to be a good thing. At least I believe that. The current 4-way dive pool had its last adjustments at the beginning of the 2011 season, when two of the 22 blocks were... (more)
News Article Did you know that France might miss a world meet in 8-way for the first time in history?
posted: Mar 20th, 2018 The NSL News mentioned in a preview of the Shamrock Showdown 2018 on 9 March 2018 that the two French 4-way teams were practicing 8-way during their training camp in DeLand before the competition. Aerodyne Realfly and Aerodyne Weembi Girls had and have no intention to invest training efforts into 8-way competition. The NSL News met both teams at the mockup and asked them to pretend working on an 8-way exit. It was false news and meant to be a joke. However, the 8-way situation in France is really not very promising, which initiated the false NSL News. There are no plans to send a team to... (more)
