Did you know that Black Magick had back-flying competition for the first time at the World Challenge? posted: May 5th, 2018 The NSL News mentioned the Black Magick 4-way project the very first time on 6 April 2005. It was only an idea that Joey Jones, DeLand Majik 4-way world champion of 2004, developed in his head and discussed with some of his free-flying friends.
The idea became reality at the June meet of the Florida Skydiving League 2005 when Black Magick with Thomas Hughes (Outside Center), Joey Jones (Inside Center), Juliana Se (Tail) and Joel Tambor (Point) posted scores on the 4-way leaderboard. It was an impressive performance, and the back-flyers were even competitive on the A Class leaderboard.

Did you know that the Indoor Cloud League April competition was closer than ever on the 12+ leaderboard? posted: May 4th, 2018 The Indoor Cloud League competition has become tighter month by month, as the NSL News has reported on a regular basis. April's 14+ leaderboard is not complete yet, while it already has the teams from Florida (iFLY Tampa) and the Northwest (iFLY Seattle) tied with a total of 111 points behind the Hurricane Factory.
The situation on the 12+ leaderboard is even more exciting, as it shows the three regularly participating teams (iFLY Orlando - iFLY Sacramento - iFLY SF Bay) separated by only two points( 111 - 111 - 109). It is even more unusual and a rare and so far unique event that four teams... (more)

A total of 29 teams competed in all four categories, and the latest submissions added Arizona FM to the AAA Class leaderboard and three teams from Northern California in the Rookie Class. Nothing changed on the AA and A Class leaderboards that the NSL News featured with the story on 30 April 2018.

Did you know that the HF Cubs suffered heavy penalty damage in Round 4? posted: May 1st, 2018 The new FAI European Indoor Championship 2018 included a 4-way junior competition with four teams participating. France, Czech Republic and Norway had 4-way junior teams at previous FAI indoor events (world cup, world meet) while a junior team from Russia attended an FAI 4-way competition for the first time.
The four teams consisted of two completely different groups of 4-way experience. Aerokart Ak'demie and HF Cubs still compete for the FAI medals in 4-way Junior at the FAI events, while both have already joined the AAA Class world and are trained for the complete FAI/IPC dive pool with slot-switchers... Did you know that the A Class teams outscored the AA Class teams in Round 6 of the World Challenge? posted: May 1st, 2018 The weekly NSL competition draw has been manipulated ever since the National Skydiving League introduced the four competition categories many years ago.
This does not count for the AAA Class sequences which have always been drawn randomly to begin the process of a complete competition draw for all four categories.
However, the following three sets of ten sequences for the other three categories (AA - A - Rookie) are based on the AAA Class draw as the starting point.
Goal was to make every draw even more interesting for teams in all four categories. Especially the teams in lower categories... (more)
