News Article Did you know that Anion Flux XP have made the move to AA Class training and competition?
posted: Jan 11th, 2022 USPA's 4-way Beginner category, which is identical with the A Class, was a part of the U.S. national championships for the first time last year, and the NSL News covered the event comprehensively with several updates. The teams in 1st and 3rd place were lineups of the military Air Force Academy in Colorado, as the NSL News reported on 22 November 2021. Chances are very little that any of the team members will be back for more 4-way training and competition in the near future after their time with the U.S. Air Force. News Article Did you know that six teams competed for five Top 10 spots in the Intermediate Class?
posted: Jan 10th, 2022 The battles between 4-way and 8-way teams at competitions are not only taking place at the top parts of the leaderboards, even though the best teams in the countries and in the world get naturally most of the attention. Even the smallest meets may have exciting duels and races between any teams for the higher positions at the end of the competition. The USPA Nationals, as the biggest national championship event in the world, usually features several of these battles, either on the top of the leaderboards or at any other spots. News Article Did you know that the plane crash happened on 19 June 2021?
posted: Jan 7th, 2022 Timur Frank's freefall comeback began with 2-way training, which soon turned into 4-way jumps with members of Airborne VDV (Alexey Izmalkin, Georgy Miroshnichenko) and Tanay Wolves (Alexander Furman, Alexey Afanasyev on camera). The Tanay 8-way team and the Tanay Wolves/VDV combination took turns training from the L-410 Turbolet in Tanay until the tragic plane crash happened on June 19th. Tanay 8 and Airborne VDV training were scheduled for a starting time at noon, and the Tanay Wolves/VDV combination used the morning hours to make a few 4-way jumps with Timur Frank. News Article Did you know that Georgy Miroshnichenko was back in the Airborne VDV lineup five months after the plane crash?
posted: Jan 6th, 2022 The NSL News introduced the Russian military team Airborne VDV first time on 28 January 2021, after the surprising 4-point battle with IFS-Moscow for the indoor top spot, and the 30.4 average at the Russian Indoor Nationals 2020. The update on 13 July 2021 reported the scores of the Russian Indoor Cup 2021, where former Russian Thunder member Georgy Miroshnichenko finally competed with his military Airborne VDV lineup. The team's 31.5 average was even too much for IFS-Moscow and Bubbles this time. Only a week later, the NSL News had to follow up with the sad news of the tragic plane crash... (more)
News Article Did you know that TSC Off Cadence created two new SDC Rhythm XP members and more?
posted: Jan 5th, 2022 The NSL News introduced three new SDC Rhythm XP members with the update on 4 December 2021, and the 4-way community is still waiting for the name of the one missing piece in the Rhythm puzzle. In the meantime, other gaps in the profiles of the new team members can be filled with additional information. News Article Did you know that there is a new opportunity for the complete FS Sweep in Eloy 2022?
posted: Jan 4th, 2022 The Formation Skydiving Sweep at FAI World Championships by one single nation has been a topic for the NSL News for many years. However, there is actually an official FAI trophy that covers more than only the William H. Ottley Sword for 4-way and 8-way Formation Skydiving competition, also known as the respective "Excalibur", and the more recently added trophies for the winners in 4-way Women (Exi Epee Trophy) and 4-way VFS (Fiona McEachern Trophy).
