News Article Did you know that the FAI Indoor World Cup has complete preview leaderboards?
posted: Mar 15th, 2022 The field of 4-way teams for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 is complete, as the deadline for registration has gone by. There were a few changes, most of them related to the current political situation in the world. The NSL News mentioned the absence of the seven Russian 4-way teams with the preview update on March 8th, after the official statement by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI). The first update with the NSL Power Rankings in 4-way Open, after the removal of the Russian teams from all three leaderboards, was still showing a total of 29 teams in this category. The 4-way... News Article Did you know that Gary Smith explained a successful and delicate coaching job?
posted: Mar 15th, 2022 It happened that Gary Smith, coach of the Qatar Tigers and NMP PCH HayaBusa in the past years, arrived in Florida just a few days before the NSL News had scheduled the online interview with Airspeed coach Joey Jones and Ron Miasnikov. Gary Smith was working with the Qatar Tigers again, while Jeremie Rollett was still at Skydive City with the Qatar Falcons. Jeremie Rollett had provided his thoughts with NSL Live Talk on March 3rd. Both Qatar coaches were following the Shamrock Showdown action very carefully, even though they missed the event in different ways. Jeremie Rollett and his Qatar... (more)
News Article Did you know that Israel is hosting the next outdoor world meet in 2024?
posted: Mar 13th, 2022 The cancellation and rescheduling of the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 a year later in August 2021 had created a 3-year gap between the previous world meet in Australia 2018 and last year's event in Russia. The International Skydiving Commission (ISC) of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) decided to return to the previous rotation of annual FAI/ISC events (world meets - world cups) by scheduling the next World Championship of Formation Skydiving a year after the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020, which took place in August 2021. It will be hosted by Skydive Arizona in Eloy this October. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that Skydive Midwest NEXT and SDC Rhythm XP have an indoor rematch in Charleroi?
posted: Mar 11th, 2022 Paraclete XP Indoor Championship and Shamrock Showdown 2022 both featured Arizona Airspeed taking over and back the world's 4-way top spot, even without much international opposition until now. Performance and scores at both events made it clear enough that it will be difficult for any other team to keep up with the Airspeed quality and pace. It was not really a big surprise, as the new lineup demonstrated its strength and potential already at the few 2020 and 2021 events. However, it was not only Arizona Airspeed's top level performance that created the current situation. NMP PCH HayaBusa,... (more)
News Article Did you know that HF Flying Circus will probably battle once again for a Top 10 spot?
posted: Mar 10th, 2022 The NSL News mentioned in the latest Indoor Cloud League update from the Czech Republic that the teams would have one more opportunity to get additional competition practice in a 10-round meet before traveling to Belgium at the beginning of April for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022. The same update included the NSL Power Rankings in 4-way Women and 4-way Junior for the indoor world cup after the exclusion of the seven Russian 4-way teams. HF Cubs and both Czech 4-way Junior teams have realistic chances to bring new sets of FAI indoor medals to the Czech Republic. All four Czech teams for the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Tina & The Dinosaurs won again in New Zealand?
posted: Mar 9th, 2022 The first national outdoor championship of the year took place in New Zealand, where Skydive Abel Tasman hosted the event in Motueka. The teams had two full days of jumping and completing as many rounds as possible. Meet Director Sue Walsh and event coordinator Henry Morgan of Skydive Abel Tasman, with the support of the New Zealand Parachute Federation (NZPF), applied the same format that was used for last year's national championships, when FAI judges in Australia were responsible for the scores. Footage of the jumps was sent down-under and judged remotely. Teams and competitors in New... (more)
