News Article Did you know that the combined AAA Class leaderboard is showing the strength of the 4-way Women teams?
posted: Apr 7th, 2022 The first day of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 is over, and the fast start into the competition did what Gary Smith expected to happen. It separated the teams on the top of the leaderboard enough and allows them to feel comfortable in their positions. It became dramatic only once when the French 4-way Open Class team outscored Arizona Airspeed by four points in Round 2. However, the much more experienced team fixed the situation quickly and put nine points between themselves and Aerokart Ak'demie in the following two rounds. The young French national indoor team will most likely defend the... (more)
News Article Did you know that the three medal positions in 4-way Open seem to be taken after the Super Sequence?
posted: Apr 7th, 2022 Round 1 of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 kept the rankings mostly in the expected order in 4-way Open and 4-way Women. The NSL News camera recorded almost the complete round in all three categories and introduced the teams as much as possible. The situation in 4-way Junior was very different, as the eight rounds began with a fast Super Sequence. HF Flying Rebels and Aerokart Ak'demie mastered it and had only one point deduction each. The HF Chameleons fell behind after four penalties and a slower pace. The French 4-way juniors won the round with a new world record and had the lead for one... (more)

It started with a miniature rock concert by a 2-boy band, with an electric guitar and percussion, which fit perfectly to the 4-way Junior event, even though the youngest 4-way competitors were still several years older than the musicians. The crowd of participants split into three groups after the opening ceremony for the event briefings, and for the competition draw in Formation Skydiving competition. Chief Judge Wolfgang Duller from Austria supervised... (more)
News Article Did you know that Aerokart Ak'demie moved up to 2nd place in the NSL Power Rankings?
posted: Apr 6th, 2022 The situation of the NSL Power Rankings in 4-way Open for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 turned out to be even more dramatic than the adjustments in 4-way Junior and 4-way Women. The 4-way Open Class teams were last in the order of the traditional 4-way indoor events, followed by 4-way VFS. The NSL News camera arrived just in time to capture that last three teams in the speed test sessions on Wednesday morning. Echochamber, Arizona Airspeed and Aerokart Ak'demie finished off the speed test in the same flying session, and it changed the expected ranking order significantly. The French national... (more)

posted: Apr 6th, 2022 The official part of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 began with the speed test for all participating teams on Wednesday morning. The three 4-way Junior teams were first in the starting order, followed by 4-way Women, 4-way Open and 4-way VFS. The latest adjustments in the NSL Power Rankings for the event included the 4-way Junior teams, where the Czech HF Flying Rebels seemed to be the top contender earlier last month. This changed after the results of the French Indoor Nationals in March, and all three teams seemed to be closer to each other than before. The official speed test on Wednesday... (more)

It was a mixture of final preparations of the logistics at Airspace Charleroi and last-minute training in the flying chamber.
