posted: Dec 29th, 2022 Switzerland was a very strong player in 4-way competition for a time period of two decades, which began before the current format for FAI/ISC events, with the mixture of blocks and random formations for a competition round, was created and applied for the first time in Croatia 1985. In fact, the Swiss national 4-way team Blue Magic won the last world championship title in 1983, before the change of the format and the first new 4-way world champion in Croatia 1985, the DeLand Air Bears. posted: Dec 28th, 2022 The small country of Belgium has generated a lot of world-class athletes in many sports, and NMP PCH HayaBusa has become an institution in the top positions of international 4-way leaderboards since 2003. It took the three original members (Roy Janssen, Andy and David Grauwels) five years of training and domestic and international competition until they finally won their first FAI world championship bronze medals in Maubeuge 2008, with inside center Luc Verstrepen and Danny Jacobs on camera. posted: Dec 26th, 2022 The Indoor Cloud League month of November did not keep up with the two promising previous months, which featured all participating 2022 teams on the same leaderboards in September and November. iFLY Colorado Springs missed the first month after joining the Indoor Cloud League in May this year and following up with increasing scoring numbers month by month. However, a very exciting event compensated for the missing November scores. posted: Dec 25th, 2022 The very busy month of November for the Czech teams had to be followed by a more casual agenda in December. The NSL News had reported earlier that some of the Czech teams attended up to three meets last month, and they performed the November sequences of the Indoor Cloud League on top of that. The HF Cubs competed only at the meets of the Czech Tunnel League in November and December on their home turf at the Hurricane Factory in Prague, while HF Flying Rebels and HF Chameleons also traveled to Poland and the Netherlands for two more events. News Article Did you know that the Tanay 8 members were also opponents at the 8-way indoor championship?
posted: Dec 23rd, 2022 The Russian Indoor Nationals 2022 included an 8-way competition, as well. The new windtunnel in Kemerovo has a 17-foot flying chamber and adds another training facility for 8-way teams to the limited number of places that offer enough space. Russia's 8-way team from Tanay won the bronze medals at the FAI Tanay Mondial in August 2021, which took place at the skydiving center nearby. Some of the Mondial events were held in Kemerovo, as well, where the new windtunnel is located. Russia had won the FAI Outdoor World Cup gold medals in 2019 ahead of France and XP8 before placing 3rd in Tanay.. France... (more)

posted: Dec 22nd, 2022 It is a challenging task to keep the NSL Profiles up-to-date. 34 celebrities in Formation Skydiving competition are currently featured, and most of them are still active in the sport, even if it is in other areas than actual competition, with exits from jump planes and 35 or 50 seconds of working time. It makes it even worse that the profiles cover only a small number of the important people in the sport who should have their stories told, as well.
