Did you know that the Rookie Class competition has become a major factor of the Carolina Skydiving League? posted: Jun 21st, 2006 The Rookie Class competition continues to be a major factor in the 2006 season of the Carolina Skydiving League. Three of the four teams that competed last weekend attended each of the three CASL meets this year, and the competition is still as exciting as it has been so far.
Fast Fockers and Luckiest Guy in Raeford switched their positions once again after the four rounds at Carolina Sky Sports last weekend. Fast Fockers had won the first meet of the season in April over Luckiest Guy, and the Raeford team took the first place in the Rookie Class competition of the second CASL meet in May. (more)
Did you know that new NSL-TV videos feature three teams from thre different countries? posted: Jun 21st, 2006 The leaderboard of last weekend's competition is now complete. It was an extraordinary weekend since none of the eight meets was weathered out. The event sites were spread all over the US east coast, from Florida to New England, and also took place at three locations in Europe. Weather was still not a factor.
42 teams completed up to ten rounds (Sweden, Netherlands), and only the Rookie Class teams of the Carolina Skydiving League were finished after four rounds, which is normal CASL procedure. (more)

However, one of the most important events took place in Sweden. The NSL News had already covered the situation before last weekend's competition with the meet story of the previous event in Sweden on June 9.

Did you know that only two teams competed in Meet 2 of the Mideast Skydiving League? posted: Jun 19th, 2006 Despite gorgeous weather, only two teams competed in Meet 2 of the Mideast Skydiving League held at Skydive Greensburg in Indiana. Team Fastrax was on the field but did not compete because the meet occurred during a hard-core training camp for them.
They opted to continue their regular training routine, however, they made themselves available for some fabulous coaching as a show of support for the league. Did you know that Skydive City defended its top position in the A Class competition? posted: Jun 19th, 2006 The scores of last weekend's international competition weekend are almost complete. Events took place at eight different locations, and the scores of seven meets are already posted. The Netherlands contributed 15 teams to the current total of 42 teams in the four competition classes and took the first places on the international leaderboard in the AAA/Open FAI Class (Punky Fish) and in the A Class (Mind Your Step).

Did you know that the FIFA World Cup gets in the way of skydiving 4-way and soccer fans? posted: Jun 16th, 2006 The situation in the Netherlands seems to be quite similar compared to last weekend's competition in Great Britain. The English soccer fans that competed at the first competition of the Grand Prix 4-way tour were very lucky when a wind hold at the right time allowed the soccer audience to witness England's 1-0 victory over Paraguy.
