Did you know that Perris Fury's original lineup is back in full swing? posted: Sep 11th, 2008 The NSL News shifts back from Europe to the US west coast. The Southern California Skydiving League holds ist last meet of the regular season this weekend in Perris. Perris Fury and the team's members will once again either compete with their own lineup or as player coaches.
Fury just informed the NSL News recently that Center Inside Chris Farina has fully recovered from his back injury and that the team is back in full training swing. The Fury 8-way project teams also recently trained at the Paraclete XP windtunnel in Raeford. (more)
Did you know that the Chicas extended the lead in the fast Round 10? posted: Sep 10th, 2008 Germany's DFV Cup 2008 is over, and the fastest sequence of Round 10 (O-7-F-M) had the expected impact only in the Open Class competition. The German national 4-way team, FSC Eisenach, finally pulled away from X-Ray Remscheid (30 - 26) and makes the top of the leaderboard look different now.
Winning the DFV Cup 2008 was much more difficult for FSC Eisenach than the 6-point difference now indicates.
It was actually a tough and close race round by round. Neither of the two teams was able to ever win a round by more than two points, and even a 2-point difference happened only once. Both teams... (more)
Did you know that Sinapsi plans its training campaign for 2009? posted: Sep 9th, 2008 The NSL News coverage of the Italian Nationals 2008 ended after the scores of Round 9 were posted. It was already obvious by then that the new Sinapsi lineup would win the competition. The NSL News explained the interesting situation in Italy with the story on 30 August 2008.
The story included the commentary that the new Sinapsi lineup was not yet performing and scoring on the same level where the 2004 and 2006 lineup was. That counted only for the first nine rounds. Sinapsi, with new Center Outside Steve Hamilton, eventually finished the competition with a world-class score in Round 10.

Did you know that the DFV Cup 2008 offers two exciting races? posted: Sep 8th, 2008 The DFV Cup in Germany is the equivalent of the national championships and takes turns with the German Nationals year by year. The qualification for the next World Championship is a part of the German Nationals, while the DFV Cup is the top arena for the German teams to face off in the other years.
The German national teams that competed at the World Meet 2008 in France, FSC Eisenach and Chicas, are in the same situation back home as several other national teams that the NSL News has already covered after the conclusion of the world meet.

Did you know that Team Future likes to copy the NSL competition draw on meet weekends? posted: Sep 8th, 2008 The NSL leaderboard never remains the same for very long. The scores of the ESL Championship 2008 have already moved one slot backwards, while the new scores of the DFV Cup in Germany have taken the up-do-date spot. Did you know that the UK delegation captured the ESL Spirit in the Netherlands? posted: Sep 7th, 2008 The currently posted scores of the ESL Championship 2008 are also the last ones of the event. The weather on Texel this year was not much better than the weather in Spa 2007. The 30 teams had to leave after completing only four rounds of the 10-round competition, three rounds in the Rookie Class.
The ESL championships of 2005 and 2006 in Spa, Belgium, had no weather problems at all, and the teams completed all ten rounds within the three event days. Last year's event in Spa had only two completed rounds, three in the AAA Class. (more)
