News Article Did you know that Sinapsi PD completed the first training camp with Pete Allum in DeLand?
posted: Jan 28th, 2005 The NSL News reported Pete Allum's move from the British team XL to the Italian national 4-way team, Sinapsi PD, at the end of last year. The new Sinapsi line-up with Livio Piccolo (Point), Arianna DeBenedetti (Center Inside), Luca Marchioro (Center Outside), Peter Allum (Tail) and Luca Poretti (Video) did not need much time to complete the plans for the 2005 season. The Italian team already completed the first camp with the new line-up at Skydive DeLand and made 80 jumps in two weeks. News Article Did you know that Team Fastrax trains outside the box?
posted: Jan 22nd, 2005 The NSL News series of the 2005 U.S. top contenders in 4-way concludes for now with the story of Team Fastrax. The group of teams that will most likely compete for the top ranks of the 2005 season and were covered by the NSL News includes DeLand Majik, DeLand Fire, the Golden Knights, two Arizona Airspeed line-ups and Fastrax. News Article Did you know that Hurricane Ivan might be too slow to mess around with the NSL Playoffs 2004?
posted: Sep 7th, 2004 The NSL News has to report another outage for a few days. Hurricane Frances hammered DeLand and most of Florida this time. The NSL operation has been "outsourced" for and since the past weekend as most of DeLand still has no electricity. This story comes from somewhere in North Carolina... The 2004 hurricane season still does not let go. The next storm Ivan is already on the way with a similar heading and path as Frances. posted: Aug 30th, 2004 The NSL office is now fully operational again. Computers are fixed, internet connections and networks are functional - time to catch up. There is a lot of new information that has been waiting for delivery to the valued NSL audience. Unfortunately, the same successful recovery did not happen at the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales where the drama continues. posted: Aug 24th, 2004 It was a bizarre week for the NSL headquarters in DeLand, Florida. Hurricane Charley left a devastating trail on its way across the state, which included the DeLand area. Skydive DeLand was without electricity for days, homes of local skydivers were without water and air condition for several days. However, the NSL office, which is located very close to the airport, did not have any problems at all with Charley. The weather strike came with a delay for the NSL. News Article Did you know that the latest NSL-TV features the fast FSL round in May?
posted: Aug 12th, 2004 The last update of the NSL-TV coverage includes a new round of the Florida Skydiving League May meet. Round two was the random sequence (C-E-F-L-K) that helped DeLand Majik to a 25.5 meet average after six rounds. Majik scored 41 points within working time and kept the jump still so clean that the Malevsky Cup judges were impressed when judging it inofficially in Russia. (more)
