... that Hurricane Ivan might be too slow to mess around with the NSL Playoffs 2004?

posted Sep 7th, 2004 - The NSL News has to report another outage for a few days. Hurricane Frances hammered DeLand and most of Florida this time. The NSL operation has been "outsourced" for and since the past weekend as most of DeLand still has no electricity. This story comes from somewhere in North Carolina...

The 2004 hurricane season still does not let go. The next storm Ivan is already on the way with a similar heading and path as Frances. However, Ivan might and will probably be a little bit too slow and too late to mess around with the NSL Playoffs 2004, which are coming up this weekend. One of the playoff events is to be hosted by Skydive DeLand. The hurricane is currently expected to arrive in Florida no earlier than Sunday evening. There is a chance that Florida might be able to finally run a skydiving event once again...
