posted Sep 16th, 2026 - The 4-way competition of the USPA Nationals 2026 is over, and the dropzone will become quieter for the 8-way competition. The increased number of 4-way teams compared to the USPA Nationals 2025 (59–57), including the guest teams, kept the Skydive Perris and USPA staff busy during the two 4-way days.

Twenty 8-way teams competed in Eloy last year, and the participation number will probably be higher at this event as well. The 8-way competition is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, and Paraclete XP8's new lineup is once again expected to contend for the USPA championship title. The team's focus is mostly on successfully defending the world championship title next month at Skydive Arizona, where they will face the strong Qatar Falcons.

XP8 member Jennifer Davidson had enough time during the 4-way competition to share her 8-way thoughts with the NSL News. She skipped the 4-way competition once again this year, after her time with XPG4 and the 2nd place at the USPA Nationals 2024, followed by the 4-way Women gold medals at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2024. She was still the alternate for Inertia AZ last year, and this time for Platinum XP.

Arizona Airspeed - Golden Knights - SDC Rhythm XP after Round 10 at the USPA Nationals 2026

---

The main topic of the NSL Live Talk conversation was still the shocking outcome of Round 1 in 4-way Open, where the Golden Knights ended up nine points behind Arizona Airspeed, which more or less determined the final rankings on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard.

The Golden Knights 4-way Women world champion at Ottawa 2016, 8-way world champion at Australia 2018 and again 4-way Women world champion at Crystal Coast, 2024 has now been back in 8-way action with XP8 since the USPA Nationals 2025, back together with her husband Matt Davidson, who was recruited back into the current XP8 lineup at the beginning of this year.

Together they won FAI 8-way gold medals with the Golden Knights at Australia 2018, and they plan to add their next FAI gold medals to the their family collection. Jen Davidson and her XP8 team mates know that they will be facing strong opposition, even though neither Jen Davidson nor her team mates would provide details of their current situation. However, the scores at the USPA Nationals will tell opponents and audience more about the team's performance level.
