posted Sep 15th, 2026 - It was a late start on Monday morning at the USPA Nationals 2026 due to the morning fog. However, all 4-way teams still completed six rounds, and the 16 teams in 4-way Open even got Round 7 out of the way.

The Golden Knights were able to reduce the damage from Round 1 from nine to seven points. The results of Round 1 were obviously not just a one-time occurrence, with a bad round for the U.S. Army team and a great round for Arizona Airspeed. The new Airspeed lineup won two more rounds (3 and 4) after the Golden Knights reacted strongly to the Round 1 disaster in Round 2.

There are still three more rounds to go in 4-way Open, and the Golden Knights posted the highest scores consecutively in the last three rounds. However, there are still seven points of difference in the current total (193–186). Airspeed did not win a round after claiming three of the first four, while they did not allow the Golden Knights to win back enough points to catch up. The U.S. Army team reduced the difference by only two points over the same three rounds (5–6–7). It seems to be a reality that Airspeed's new team captain Joey Marshall has brought Arizona Airspeed back to top strength in the short time he has had as the new leader, and the Golden Knights had to face this new situation first.

NSL TV Unfiltered: USPA Nationals 2026 - End of the Day on September 14th

NSL TV Unfiltered was in the landing area at the end of the day to record some of the reactions after seven rounds of 4-way competition. Arizona Airspeed was in one of the last loads, and Joey Marshall landed with a big smile on his face. His team had once again mastered a new round, this time a slow sequence of three blocks (4, 12, 17), switching and switching back the front-piece slots while the rear-piece members had different slots page by page. Airspeed tied the Golden Knights' score once again, after one point deduction.

It was also Round 7 when SDC Rhythm XP finally took back the bronze medal position from Elsinore Elevate, with former Airspeed 4-way world champion Josh Hall in the lineup. Elevate were five points ahead after Round 3, before SDC Rhythm XP began to cut into the lead and take 3rd place for the first time after Round 7.

Last but not least, NMP PCH HayaBusa's four-time 4-way world champion Andy Grauwels had extra time for NSL Live Talk after he was done with his work with the new Qatar 4-way national team, Vortex, who are in 1st place on the 4-way Advanced Class leaderboard as a guest team. He will do the same coaching job at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026, as well, and the same team will compete for Qatar in Eloy, then in 4-way Open. The NSL News was mostly interested in Andy Grauwels' own experiences with the psychology of Round 1.
