posted Jul 18th, 2026 - This weekend's 4-way events could have brought A Class teams together on the same leaderboard for the first time since the, hopefully temporary, separation of the dive pools between USPA and participating events in the NSL 4-way Network. Scott Latinis, managing the Texas Skydiving League, is running the Pre-Nationals event at Spaceland Houston, while Jan Klapka is concluding his 4-way training week in Most with the second meet of the year.

However, the A Class leaderboard will not reflect any difference or separation, as Jan Klapka has teams on the leaderboard in only three of the four competition classes, by coincidence. The Texas leaderboard will be added as soon as the scores become available. The first TSL leaderboard of the year in April did not feature any A Class teams in USPA's 4-way Beginner category, where Block 1 (Molar – Molar) and Block 13 (Mixed Accordions – Mixed Accordions) have replaced Block 8 (Canadian T – Canadian T) and Block 19 (Ritz – Icepick). All AAA (Open/Advanced) and AA (Intermediate) Class teams continue to compete with the same four blocks in their respective dive pools.

Coincidentally, both new A Class blocks (1 and 13) were drawn late in the sequence. Any Beginner Class teams competing in Texas would have to complete the first eight rounds before encountering the two new blocks in Rounds 9 and 10.

Jan Klapka had his 4-way national team, Skywalkers Most, back in meet action on home turf. The last outdoor competition for the expected contender for the unofficial amateur world championship title at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026 was the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 in August last year, where the world's youngest 4-way team finished in 6th place with a 19.6 average.

Since that outdoor event, Skywalkers Most have completed 80 indoor competition rounds before finishing 4th at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 in April. They have now transitioned back to outdoor training and competition and posted their first three outdoor scores of the season this Saturday.

The full lineup is actually more involved in assisting Jan Klapka with the conclusion of the 4-way training week in Most. They are coaching and player-coaching a group of young Czech and German skydivers who are at the very beginning of their potential 4-way careers. Former HF Flying Circus member Martina Vavácková and Skywalkers alternate Michal Mikolášek are assisting Jan Klapka as well. Skywalkers Most and Jan Klapka are competing with their own teams at the same event, although their primary focus is probably on running the training camp and competition rather than on their own team performances.
