Did You Know...

... that Midwest Skydiving League teams shared international leaderboards?

CSC Constellation XP at the USPA Nationals 2024
posted Sep 28th, 2025 - Other 4-way events took place, while outdoor world cup and other national championships received most of the NSL News attention. Two meets of the Midwest Skydiving League took place in August and September, and the scores of the MWSL teams were part of combined leaderboards.

SDC Rhythm XP members share the management of the MWSL meets that are hosted by Skydive Chicago. CSC Constellation XP's Natalie Rodriguez and Russell Bayuk have been organizing events at Chicagoland Skydiving.

MWSL season opener and the September meet took place on the Rhythm home turf, and the two AAA Class teams, QuadRhivium and Rhegulators, attended both events. They had shared the AAA Class June leaderboard with teams from Germany and Switzerland, while AA Class team up4Rheview had additional opponents from Great Britain, Czech Republic and the Great Lakes Skydiving League. This time, earlier in September, QuadRhivium and Rhegulators shared the AAA Class leaderboard with Dutch and Belgian teams at their national championships and guest teams Qatar Cheetahs and D'Z Nuts. The combined September leaderboard is showing the ranking positions of the MWSL teams after the four rounds that the other teams completed in Europe. AA Class teams Rhummage Sale and AerOdynamics of the Great Lakes Skydiving League shared the combined leaderboard with European teams, as well, and they took the two top positions.

CSC Constellation XP's Natalie Rodriguez and Russell Bayuk had three teams at their August meet at Chicagoland Skydiving, who shared the A Class leaderboard with teams from the Great Lakes Skydiving League and Sunkissed Spinners from Southern California.

Russ Bayuk won the internal Constellation duel with Natalie Rodriguez by one single point (12 - 11) after the three rounds that the MWSL teams completed in August. Great Lakes team AerOjam, with 4-way veteran Ed Lightle in the lineup, were out of reach in 1st place.

The USPA Nationals 2024 was the last competition for CSC Constellation XP. They won the USPA gold medals in the AA/Intermediate Class and made new plans for the transition into the USPA Advanced Class in AAA Class competition. Returning team members Natalie Rodriguez, Russ Bayuk and Paul Webster had to recruit a new team member, as AA/Intermediate Class champions Leslie Noble and Brad Strock did not plan to come back with Constellation in 2025. Paul Webster moved from camera to tail, and there was still one open slot. The 3-way now decided to invite player-coach Andrew Happick to join the team this year, and they have to recruit a team videographer, as well. The NSL News will follow up on the new Constellation lineup.
