Did You Know...

... that 17 teams launched the 2022 outdoor season of the NSL Network?

First AAA Class competition for Valkyrie members Christina Edwards and Sydney Ward
posted May 7th, 2022 - Last weekend was the first meet day of the 2022 outdoor season for teams from three different NSL Network regions, and the total of 17 participating teams created interesting leaderboards in all for NSL categories (AAA - AA - A - RRR).

The teams of the United Kingdom Skydiving League and the Texas Skydiving League were the main players on the first synchronized outdoor meet weekend of the year, and Anion Flux XP posted AA Class score for Florida.

A British pickup team for the weekend took the 1st place on the AAA Class leaderboard, and two new teams from Texas competed for the 2nd place on the combined leaderboard. Dallas Dynasty members Michael Erickson and Aaron Perkins guided Dallas Valkyrie members Christina Edwards and Sydney Ward through their first AAA Class competition in Texas, with Indoor Cloud League competitor Donaldo Grajeda on camera.

The Dallas Dynasty members collected their first AAA Class experiences at the Texas Skydiving League 2021 meets, before they won USPA silver medals in AA/Intermediate at the USPA Nationals 2021. Then they won the AAA/Advanced Class competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022, where Dallas Valkyrie attended the team's first competition and posted their scores on the A Class leaderboard.

Last weekend's AA Class leaderboard featured teams from all three different regions, as Florida team Anion Flux XP has moved up from the A/Beginner Class in 2021 to AA/Intermediate Class this year. Anion Flux XP joined the teams from Great Britain and Texas at Skydive Sebastian, their home dropzone.

Anion Flux XP had their first battle of the 2022 season with 49 1/2 Fingers from Texas, and the two U.S. teams were separated by two points after five rounds. The Sebastian team increased their first AA Class average significantly, after the first experiences in this category at the Shamrock Showdown 2022.

British team SQU4D Game posted their first scores at the British Indoor Nationals 2022 in February and followed up with the team's first outdoor competition last weekend.

Spaceland Toxic won the AA Class competition far ahead of the other teams in this category. The 2022 lineup, with Demo McDonnell and four new members (Laura Galdamez, Andrew Clayton, Joshua Schirard, Norris Gearhart on camera), seems to be on USPA medal level already by now, after the 11.6 average for five rounds. Any team with an 11+ average is usually in medal contention at USPA Nationals in the AA/Intermediate Class.

RRR Class awards at the British Outdoor Nationals 2021
Six British teams had the complete and popular A Class leaderboard all for themselves. The two teams on the top of the leaderboard (None of the Above, Breakfast at Tiffanys) and L3 (Live Laugh Low Turns) were new on British 4-way leaderboards.

Team Tilstock competed in the RRR Class of 2021 and won bronze medals in this category at the British Outdoor Nationals 2022. They launched the 2022 season in the A Class competition of the British Indoor Nationals 2022

Learning Curve had finished one single point ahead of Team Tilstock in the silver medal position at the British outdoor Nationals last year. Now they started into the 2022 outdoor season one single point behind the same Rookie Class opponent of 2021.

Antigravity are the reigning British 2021 outdoor champions in the RRR Class. They had to move up into the A Class this year, where they met the silver and bronze medalists of 2021 at the first UKSL meet. Antigravity started with exactly the same average as in 2021, which was not enough to keep up with this year's A Class teams at the season opener. Another new British 4-way team, Chaos Unit, finished in the top spot on the RRR Class leaderboard, where Toxic Ex-Girlfriends took the 2nd place for Texas.
