Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV features 4-way and 8-way videos from Norway?

End of the national championships in Norway
posted Jul 30th, 2021 - NSL-TV is now following up with competition videos of this year's Norwegian Outdoor Nationals. They are showing how Norway's national team in 4-way Open, Agera FS 2022, easily won their first national championship and stole one of Kjetil Nordin's four 4-way and 8-way titles in Norway and Denmark.

The videos also feature the winning 8-way team, Illegal Aliens, where the complete Agera lineup was helping Kjetil Nordin to retain at least one of the Norwegian Formation Skydiving titles. He has already won this year in Denmark with Sequence, and the national 8-way championship is still coming up.

The Illegal Aliens, whose team name originated in Norway in 2015 and 2016, had nine players in their lineup, plus Agera videographer Kristoffer Øverli Andersen on camera. The team decided to use a random generator on the internet to determine who would be on the bench from round to round.

The two Kjetils (Nordin and Viste Levik) were drawn for Rounds 8 and 9. They lucked out, as the 8-way competition was over after Round 7. DeLand Norgies member Pål Kolbenstvedt was on the bench at the last round of the 8-way competition, and he missed the only bad exit of the Illegal Aliens.

The 4-way videos are also featuring Mixed Trouble. The NSL News mentioned in the first update that FS 4-way 2022 project member Christiane Wilhelmine Sørfjord Tuv competed with her project team Skyla and also with her father Carl-Erik Tuv and Mixed Trouble in the AAA Class.

Carl-Erik Tuv used the be in the tail slot for the DeLand Norgies, and he was inside center for the team with his daughter Christiane in the point slot.

Norway's national team in 4-way Open, Agera FS 2022, were originally planning to compete at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 and eventually withdrew like several other teams due to the implications of the corona virus crisis.

Only Kjetil Nordin and his Blue Bellycan team mate Derek Broughton were left as the two Norwegian competitors who had also competed at the FAI World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk, Russia. They were 8-way team mates in 2010, as they were again this month, while they had different 4-way teams, Kjetil Nordin in 4-way Open, Derek Broughton in 4-way VFS. Agera FS 2022 plan to attend the next Dubai International Parachuting Championship (DIPC) in December this year and then represent Norway at the next world meet in Eloy 2022.
