NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that iFLY Dallas completed the third consecutive Indoor Cloud League month after the comeback?

92 participants total: iFLY Dallas Indoor Cloud League team
posted Dec 29th, 2020 - The month of December is still not over yet, and the second complete set of six Indoor Cloud League scores and videos for the December sequences have already been posted.

The Hurricane Factory was first in the middle of the month, as the NSL News reported on December 21st. The Czech teams had only a 2-week window to use the 14-foot flying chamber in Prague between two lock-downs. Jan Klapka managed to activate enough teams for a total of 137 ICL points.

Kyle Hermberg now followed up with a team of twelve participants and coaches at iFLY Dallas before the month and the year go by. A total of 92 ICL participants are currently listed for the iFLY Dallas team, which was launched by Amanda Lampton in May 2014.

Kyle Hermberg has been participating at the Indoor Cloud League events in Dallas from the very beginning. In January 2019, he eventually stepped in to continue the ICL team at iFLY Dallas when Amanda Lampton was not available any longer, and the iFLY Dallas team has not missed a month of Indoor Cloud League competition until the corona virus crisis caused a 6-month break in Texas, beginning in April this year. The iFLY Dallas team has now been back since October.

Flying Unicorns Circus in Training at the Dallas Super Cup 2020
Once again, Kyle Hermberg could welcome a new member to his ICL team this month. He has been focusing on introducing 4-way training and competition to new participants ever since he took responsibility for the ICL team in Dallas.

This time, Christina Edwards joined his team and was in the lineup with the highscore for the R Class sequence. Christina Edwards is a skydiver and has approx. 60 jumps and some tunnel time. She has been interested in learning more about indoor and outdoor 4-way.

She is the newest team member of the Flying Unicorn Circus in Training, who competed at the Dallas Super Cup this year. Her team had stepped up into the AA Class at their first 4-way meet. Meet director Scott Latinis has explained in October that Flying Unicorn Circus in Training is actually a rookie team and moved up to the AA Class to ensure competition in every category of the event.

Her team's complete lineup had posted the R Class highscore for iFLY Dallas in October, and Christina Edwards was back for more this month. Kyle Hermberg said that Flying Unicorn Circus in Training plan to compete at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship in February. He is the defending champion in the AA/Intermediate Class and will probably try to defend his title at the same event.
