posted Feb 10th, 2020 - The NSL News covered the World Tunnel League competition at the Fööni wind tunnel in Helsinki with the story on 12 January 27th. It featured the quick Team X trip from Sweden to Finland, and it provided some details of the new Finnish indoor team Just4Fun. The 22.4 average of Just4Fun was the highest one behind Finland's national 4-way team, the Pro Team.

The same story mentioned that another new Finnish team, Blue Steel, missed the FITL January meet on home turf in Helsinki and would follow up with their own scores at the Wind Games, beginning just a few days later. Blue Steel then brought home from Spain exactly the same average that Just4Fun had posted last month.

The history of both teams and their domestic battle behind the Pro Team was a part of the NSL News update on 16 December 2019. Both teams had just completed their first 10-round duel with their current lineups at the November meet of the Finnish Tunnel League last year, and Just4Fun had taken the lead.

The Finnish duel had actually begun in June 2019, when Blue Steel was still looking for their 4th member. Just4Fun's Vesa Vuorenkoski was helping out at the June meet. Both teams had finalized their lineups in November.

Just4Fun then presented their 22.4 average at the January meet in Helsinki, and Blue Steel followed up with their own 22.4 average at the Wind Games. The next direct confrontation between the two Finnish teams at the beginning of March will be a real showdown for the current spot behind the Pro Team.

Blue Steel's team history is just as interesting as Just4Fun's, and there are more cross-connections. Nadja Lönnroth trained and competed together with Just4Fun member Nina Kivilompolo for the Tigers for a few years, more than a decade ago.

Jorma Löfgren was in the Tigers lineup together with Just4Fun members Nina Kivilompolo and Markus Pitkänen in 2014 and 2015. The Tigers did not continue after the World Challenge 2016, and Jorma Löfgren joined the new Finnish 4-way team Tempo. Tempo won the AA Class competition at the World Challenge 2018 and then moved up into the AAA Class.

Tempo has not come back yet after Saara Laakko's injury last year, and Jorma Löfgren moved on with Blue Steel. His Tempo team mate Otto Virkki eventually took the open Blue Steel slot.
