... that Weembi signature lineups have been challenging NMP PCH HayaBusa since November 2015?

Weembi High Rollers between 2015 and 2017
posted Feb 3rd, 2019 - The indoor duel on the very top of the 4-way world between NMP PCH HayaBusa and Weembi Lille's signature lineups (Weembi High Rollers/Weembi Mix MF) began at the Clash of Champions in November 2015.

2010 world champions Julien Degen, Mathieu and Guillaume Bernier had joined forces with Belgian 2014 HayaBusa world champion Roy Janssen to from an indoor team and challenge the current indoor and outdoor world champions. Both teams have faced off ten times since the Clash of Champions, including last week's Wind Games in Spain.

The Bernier brothers of the High Rollers are not training and competing with the Weembi team any longer. The Flight Fighters meet in Bahrain in December 2017 was their last competition with the Weembi team. 4-way Women world champions Sophia Pecout and Christine Malnis took the Bernier point and tail slots and took on NMP PCH HayaBusa for the first time at the World Challenge 2018. It was a 4-point battle, and both teams finished with the highest meet averages (34.9 - 34.5) in 4-way history.

The Weembi Mix of two female and two male team members then followed up with the upset at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2018 where the official French national indoor team won by 12 points. The NSL News covered the event and the next showdown between Weembi and HayaBusa from all angles.

FAI Gold: Weembi Mix MF at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2018
This time in Bahrain, the same 34.5 average of the Weembi Mix lineup at the World Challenge 2018 was enough to defeat the tired Belgians for the first time and win FAI indoor gold medals for France.

NMP PCH HayaBusa were eager to face the same Weembi lineup again a few months later at the Wind Games. They felt that they could perform much better with more indoor training after the conclusion of the 2018 outdoor season. The next and third showdown with the same Weembi Mix lineup took place last week at the Wind Games, and it generated the highest meet average in the history of 4-way competition.

Not all teams improved their meet averages in Spain, which indicates that the competition draw was not on the fastest side. However, the Belgian 4-way world champions were more than ready for redemption after the first defeat in many years, and result was the first 35+ average in history.

In fact, HayaBusa still collected a total of ten point deductions, which indicates that the Belgian pace is already on a 36+ level. Weembi Mix lost 17 points, and both teams were separated by 14 points (364 - 350) before penalties.

French 4-way Women lineup for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019
The indoor race between HayaBusa and Weembi is not over yet. French national coach Mathieu Bernier announced in December that the same Weembi lineup will compete for France at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019.

It will not become much easier for Weembi Mix, as NMP PCH HayaBusa will continue focusing mainly on indoor training and competition until the indoor world meet in April is over. This will be the same for all medal contenders.

French national coach Mathieu Bernier has been gambling somehow with his indoor lineups. He keeps the Weembi Mix lineup together for the Open Class competition and hopes that the team will be able to repeat the success of Bahrain. This means that Sophia Pecout and Christine Malnis are not available for the French 4-way Women lineup of Aerodyne Weembi Girls, the reigning indoor and outdoor world champions.

Mathieu Bernier has assigned 4-way Women world champion Clementine Le Bohec to the young French B-Team lineup at the indoor world meet in April. His strategy is working so far. B-Team Nephtys Weembi outscored NFTO at the Wind Games and is prepared to compete for the gold medals in April. However, Weembi Mix still has to get past NMP PCH HayaBusa for a potential French FS Sweep on home turf...
