Did You Know...

... that the top of the AA Class leaderboard in Roosendaal was an exact copy of the A Class?

AA Class awards at the ISR Grand Prix 2018
posted Dec 1st, 2018 - The NSL News was not done yet with the coverage of the ISR Grand Prix 2018 when the Weembinamic 2018 began. The bronze medals races on the AAA and A Class leaderboards have been pointed out, and the story on 28 November mentioned that the AA Class teams had their own battle for bronze, as well.

In fact, the AA and A Class situation on the top of the leaderboards were perfectly identical. The winners were far ahead of all other teams, and the teams in the 2nd places had distanced themselves from the rest of the field, as well. In both categories, four teams then battled for the bronze medals, and the distance between the teams in 3rd place and 6th place was identical with six points.

Two teams from Italy placed behind the HF Cubs from the Czech Republic, while the Dutch Project 20+ team Red and two Belgian teams tried to interfere with the charge of the Italian AA Class visitors.

KetchUp ADV had actually more work to win the silver medals than the 15-point distance to Synergy indicated. The Italian team in 2nd place outscored the other medal contenders behind the HF Cubs only in four rounds. The Czech team had won all eight rounds in the AA Class competition.

KetchUp ADV and Synergy at the ISR Grand Prix 2018
Strongest nerves in Round 8: Synergy
The four teams behind KetchUp ADV were separated by only the mentioned six points and shared the highscores according to the final placing order (4 - 3 - 2 - 0).

The second Italian team Synergy had much work work before earning the bronze medals. It was an ongoing up and down between the four battling teams.

Eventually, Synergy from Italy, Team Red from the Netherlands and Ayro from Belgium were tied after Round 7, and the last round was like a tie-breaker showdown for the 3rd place.

Synergy had the stronger nerves and won Round 8 clearly. The bronze medals went to Italy, as well.

Team Red attended the team's first indoor competition in Roosendaal, and Ayro improved the 17.0 average of the World Challenge 2018 significantly. Stardust attended the team's first indoor competition in the AA Class and scored higher than a year ago in the A Class.
