Did You Know...

... that Florida's Indoor Cloud League participants will re-visit the same sequences at the NSL Championships?

First AAA Class slot switcher: Emily Bombardi
posted Nov 14th, 2017 - The Florida Skydiving League team opened the November 12+ competition of the Indoor Cloud League with the first scores from iFLY Orlando. The November total of 71 points was posted by three different lineups, while the score for the R Class sequence still remains open for any other Rookie Class lineup in Florida.

It was the second time that the Indoor Cloud League came back to Orlando after a long break due to the closure of the previous iFLY Orlando facilities that were built in 1998.

Last Thursday's FSL Tunnel Kicker became the first time for Hands Full member Emily Bombardi to get on the ICL leaderboard for a AAA Class sequence.

Her team had competed in the AA/Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals 2017, and she used the new Indoor Cloud League opportunity in Orlando to get familiar with the complete dive pool, including the AAA Class slot switchers. The November sequence for the 12+ flying chambers is bringing Block 17 (Danish T - Murphy) to the AAA Class lineups, with slot switchers for both pieces. Emily Bombardi is the point in the front piece.

SCZ ZEUS at the USPA Nationals 2017
Emily Bombardi's AAA Class team mate last Thursday, Amer Kassas, was in a similar situation. He is the founder of Skydive City's 4-way team SCZ ZEUS and competed at the national championships for the second time in the same category.

Amer Kassas had started even earlier to take on the AAA Class challenges at Indoor Cloud League events in Florida, while he was still training and competing with ZEUS in the AA/Intermediate Class. He posted his first AAA Class scores and videos for the iFLY Tampa team in April this year.

He usually performs in the rear piece's inside center position and was facing his first slot switcher in May with Block 5 in the sequence.

He outscored Emily Bombardi with a 19-pointer in May (K,21,N,5) and was in the rear piece of her lineup last Thursday that posted the 13-pointer (H,15,G,17) in Orlando.

Both teams, Hands Full and SCZ ZEUS, are registered for the NSL Championship 2017 where Emily Bombardi and Amer Kassas will separate and compete once again for their own teams.

Hands Full at the NSL Championship 2016
The members of all four Indoor Cloud League lineups in Orlando last week will re-visit four of the six sequences at the end of this month. The NSL Indoor Championship 2017 will apply the 10-round competition draw of the World Tunnel League for November.

Round 1 of the World Tunnel League draw is always identical with the Indoor Cloud League sequences in four of the six sequences (AAA - AA - A - RRR) while the two other ICL Rookie Class sequences (RR - R) are not a part of the 10-round competition.

The NSL News also explained on 16 October 2017 that the draw of the NSL Indoor Championship will be used for the outdoor competition, as well, and create the best all-round 4-way team at this year's event.

The participants at last week's Indoor Cloud League event in Orlando will be familiar with Round 1. However, they will re-unite with their own teams at the NSL Championship and then repeat the sequence, first indoor on Thursday evening and then again on the following weekend at Skydive City. In the meantime, the draw will be available for teams to get better prepared for the double-header in Z-Hills...
