NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that three more teams added scores to the October leaderboard of the World Tunnel League?

Three more iFLY Sacramento teams for the WTL October leaderboard
posted Oct 31st, 2017 - The NSL News reported the October scores of the World Tunnel League October meets on 23 October 2017. Six teams from Florida and four from Northern California shared the preliminary leaderboard for this month by then.

Northern California was not done though, as only the teams from iFLY SF Bay had completed their six October sequences, and NCSL Director Lori Connor had scheduled a WTL meet at iFLY Sacramento, as well.

This event took place last Thursday night, and three additional teams came out to post their scores for the six October sequences in the 12+ flying chambers.

Two of the teams competed internally in the A Class, while Err Speed joined the six other AA Class teams on the October leaderboard.

It was the first meet for Err Speed in the AA Class, after four A Class appearances earlier this year. Err Speed is also a regular at the monthly NCSL Tunnel Kickers. It was a great start in the new category, as Err Speed tied two of the winner's highscores and finished only six points behind in 2nd place with a 13.3 average at the first AA Class meet.

Ethan DeLano and Jessica Lee, who regularly compete at iFLY SF Bay and recently won silver medals with the California Raptors at the USPA Nationals, made the trek from the Bay to Sacramento to join forces with Lori Connor and Kristen Breaux for Team JKEL.

First AA Class meet: Err Speed last Thursday
Kristen Breaux trains regularly with Lori Connor as her player coach at iFLY Sacramento's Tunnel Kickers and has been competing in the RRR Class.

They also competed together on team Flight Club at Sacramento's August World Tunnel League Meet where they had finished with a 17.5 average in the A Class.

Kristen Breaux was ready and well prepared for the next A Class challenge, and the meet with the three experienced and well skilled AA Class competitors lifted JKEL to the 23.2 average last Thursday and the 1st place on the WTL October leaderboard.

The two iFLY Sacramento teams may end up with no other competition in the A Class this month.
