Did You Know...

... that both Indoor Cloud League leaderboards for April are complete?

iFLY SF Bay ICL April team
posted May 13th, 2017 - Both Indoor Cloud League leaderboards for the month of April have been complete for a little while, while the first scores and videos for the May sequences are already posted.

Paraclete XP's new ICL team made the biggest move on the 14+ leaderboard and went from 6th to 4th place in the 2017 standings. Paraclete followed up on the 2nd place in March with the highest total in April and defeated the Czech Republic's Hurricane Factory team for the first time.

The iFLY SF Bay team still maintained the top position on the 12+ leaderboard despite a missing scoring number for the April sequence in the R Class.

There was a 40-pointer posted earlier, which had to be removed. The R Class lineup did not match with the ICL requirements for the two Rookie Class categories (RR - R) where a competitor may post only two scores of 25 points or higher. Unfortunately, iFLY SF Bay did not have an alternative R Class score after the outstanding performance at the beginning of the month and detected the flaw too late for a replacing submission.

Florida's ICL May team
iFLY Sacramento was the first Indoor Cloud League team with scores and videos for the new May sequences, and the Florida Skydiving League team followed up last Thursday, once again on both leaderboards.

Five different lineups took on the total of nine different sequences for both leaderboards. The FSL group at iFLY Tampa enjoys adding the 12+ sequences to their 14+ agenda at the Indoor Cloud League events, as they offer additional competition practice.

The Florida group hopes to resume the ICL activities at iFLY Orlando soon, after the doors are open now and the new wind tunnel is in operation.

iFLY Orlando will still be limited to the monthly 12+ sequences, while the 14-foot chamber in Tampa allows the ICL teams and competitors to perform the complete set of 12+ and 14+ sequences.

Competition entry at the World Challenge 2017
The sequences for both leaderboards are quite similar for a purpose. This allows the ICL teams and competitors to compare their scores on one leaderboard even roughly with the ones on the other, and it makes it easier to memorize and perform both sequences.

The Rookie Class sequences are identical anyway on both leaderboards.

The video with the complete footage is showing that the Florida teams are entering the flying chamber all together from the door, even though the working time of the Indoor Cloud League sequences begins with the break of the first formation.

The Florida Skydiving League teams will continue to compete at Tampa meets of the World Tunnel League, which has different rules for the start of the working time and match the rules at other international indoor meets.

The precious 35 seconds begin when the first person enters the flying chamber, and the Florida competitors use the ICL events to get ready for the more challenging start of the working time...
