posted Aug 14th, 2016 - The Italian Nationals 2016 have been completed successfully. Defending champion Ex3mo won again and will now focus on the job as Italy's national 4-way team at the Mondial 2016.

Ex3mo had finished in 10th place at the world meet in Prostejov 2014, added a 10th place at the World Cup 2015, then another 10th place at the World Air 2015 and is currently in 10th place of the team world rankings.

It is a new Ex3mo lineup that finished with the 18.4 average in Ravenna this weekend and will compete at Skydive Chicago next month. Ex3mo dominated at the Italian Nationals, while Sei Uno Zero (610) and Team Energy battled for the silver medals throughout the whole meet. Joey Jones provided more details and took some additional time for a live NSL Talk update.

As Day 2 came to a close, Ex3mo once again displayed their dominance over the rest of the field. They had a commanding lead after Round 7 and looked like they will hold it for the rest of the meet. 610 was in 2nd with a 4-point lead and has been skydiving nicely. A busted exit from Energy left them chasing for the silver position.

With one round left to judge for the day, tomorrow's Super Sequence will definitely be on everyone's mind this evening. Amnesya has had an up-and-down meet, but they have shown some good scores and will be the ones to watch in the future.

The lack of a scoring system has made watching the dives and following the scoring very difficult, but there has been a battle in the A Class, as well. Brain Storming was looking to run away the 2nd until they scored a 2 and fell into a tie for first with Skyhard after six rounds. There were also three teams tied for 3rd after five rounds. We will have to wait for the dust to settle tomorrow to see how it all plays out.

Round 9 offered the excitement everyone was hoping for. A late push from Energy brought them within one point of 610. Their 28 points won the round, but in the end it was too little, too late. 610 finished off strongly and took home the silver medals.

Ex3mo also finished off with a team-high average and is on a high heading for the Mondial next month.

Two A Class teams are tied after Round 9. It has been back and forth for the last few rounds, and everyone is anxiously awaiting the results. Congrats to all the teams who put it all on the line this week. It was a great atmosphere, and I look forward to coming back next year.
