Did You Know...

... that Paratec-Saar has a strong grip on the 6th place?

Morning routine: Evolution
posted Aug 28th, 2014 - It was a cold and wet Thursday morning at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 when the teams came to the drop zone for a 7 am take-off time.

It was very much worth the effort, as the skies have been blue, the runway dry enough and the competition exciting. The new NSL Reality TV video clip is trying to bring the early morning atmosphere across, while the final preparations were taking place.

Arizona Airspeed's Center Outside Thomas Hughes once again anchored parts of the show before he had to get ready for Round 2. Evolution from Canada went through the team's normal morning routine with 4-way joggling of the pins. Coach Shannon Pilcher said that he and Katie Woods are excluded from this warm-up routine...

Strong grip on 6th place: Paratec-Saar
The competition in both traditional 4-way events is very much holding up to the expectations so far. The three top contenders in 4-way Open keep moving away from the field and were close to each other in both rounds. Only NMP-PCH Hayabusa had no penalties so far, and it pays back with a 2-point lead over Evolution. The Canadians lost a point in Round 2 where Arizona Airspeed fell behind after two point deductions.

French Girls and Golden Knights continue with their tight battle, and no changes are expected, the race will most likely go over ten rounds. Kaizen took the 3rd place and will keep it.

Germany's new Paratec-Saar lineup does not seem to be willing to allow any other team getting close to the 6th place and the final round. Paratec-Saar has a 4-point lead after two rounds. There might be more competition for the 10th place than for the 6th place, as the VAF Warriors from Denmark tied Ex3mo's 17-pointer in Round 2. The 4-way teams will be done after Round 3, and the rest of the day belongs to VFS 4-way and 8-way.
