Did You Know...

... that a Czech Hurricane is blowing at Bodyflight Bedford?

For Czech Indoor Cloud League scores: HF Chicks in December
posted Apr 5th, 2014 - The NSL-TV camera was not in the flying chamber for the AAA/Open Class top teams in Round 4 for a good reason. The Sun Path Products NSL News story that featured the Canadian AA Class team 4Astrophe was the main focus at that time.

It doesn't mean at all that the videos of the top teams cannot be watched by the audience. The judging videos will always be available, and the Sun Path Products NSL News aftermath of the World Challenge 2014 will surely include the competition videos of many other teams, as well.

In fact, the meet videos and additional information are already available at www.worldchallenge.info. The NSL-TV camera just presents the performances from a very different and fascinating angle - up close and personal.

HF Chicks at the World Challenge 2014
It was not only 4Astrophe from Canada with the Bisson family who caught the Sun Path Products NSL News attention in Bedford. The HF Chicks (Hurricane Factory) were also on the priority list after the new 4way team posted a 26.5 average at the March meet of the Czech Republic Skydiving League at the Skydive Arena in Prague.

It was the only competition that the HF Chicks have attended after getting together in December last year, and the World Challenge 2014 is the first bigger meet away from the home tunnel. The HF Chicks posted a few Indoor Cloud League scores for the Czech group and then decided to form a 4way team and begin with training.

Consistent weekly training, supported by the Skydive Arena, and good coaching by Bad Boyz members moved the HF Chicks up to the top level of Rookie Class competition very quickly. Now they were standing at a 33.0 average after Round 5 in 1st place.

Pro Team Extended at the World Challenge 2013
The performance level brings back memories of the Pro Team Extended with 12-year young Kalle Pohjola, who won the Rookie Class competition at the World Challenge 2013 with a 39.1 average. The HF Chicks are well aware of this historic event and see it as a goal for themselves.

Pro Team Extended posted a 50-pointer in the last round (F,P,B) and HF Chicks came very close with a 48-pointer (F,M,L) last night. The sequence of Round 9 (D,F,M) may bring another opportunity for the HF Chicks to get close to the Finnish record number.

Kalle Pohjola's 39.1 average is still far away at the moment. However, the HF Chicks have been warming up and picking up the pace round by round. They are still learning how to deal with the competition atmosphere and have five more rounds to get familiar with the increasing pace.
